Ben and I talked about a handful of names for his company. Dissent kept rising to the top - it works for two key areas:
1. Ben is breaking from the established path in this category - not following those who've come before him
2. We, the market, don't want to follow. We choose the unbeaten path, we want our Land Cruisers to look different, perform better... and take us where others wouldn't dare.

Oh, and it has to look cool on a hat!

Dissent... I like it.

What are folks doing for their fron license plate. I seem to recall this topic was brought up in the early days of this thread, but so far I haven't seen anyone with a front plate mounted up.

I was thinking of possibly magnets. Epoxy some high power magnets on the plate and the just stick it on when needed. Or some kind of bracket that mounts to the fairlead holes, or just drill 2 holes in the front of the bumper.
Have you picked your bumper up yet?

Drilling holes in the front seems like the simplest path. My bumper is in the queue at the powder coater. I don't know if it is too late to poke some holes in the front before pcoating or not.

Magnets sound cool, but I don't like the idea of someone walking away with my plate as a souvenir. Seems like it would be too easy.

A brackets from the fair lead mounting holes seems feasible. I would think especially with a haws fair lead, the brackets would have to go on top of the fair lead or the fair lead would have to be machined to make recesses for the thickness of the brackets underneath.

If you are going to run a roller fairlead, you could always use Mag-Light clips on the plate to clip onto the fairlead. If you are worried about your plate walking away, you can use a cable tether to the fairlead bolt...

That braided cable is a purty solution. Kind of like a pick pocket chain for a license plate. That makes magnets a little more palatable.

I haven't picked up a haws fair lead yet. My winch is still sitting in the box with the roller type it came with. With the angled plate where the cable comes out, it seems the roller type would look funny down there. Maybe I don't have a very good imagination. However, it seems like the roller would be better suited for winching applications given the exit angle of the cable, as the cable will almost always be applying force on the fair lead while winching. (I'm making this up, as I have neither done any winching, installed my winch, or seen how things line up.)

You are right. This is not the most ideal set up for winching with cable. It is much better suited for the rope with haws fairlead. This is more what the bumper was designed for. The roller and cable will work but look funny. The roller fairlead will also cover up part of your receiver.

^^ if it's steel it will be ok, if it's aluminum the cable will wear grooves pretty quickly. But there's really nothing to worry about, you shouldn't need it anyway, your driving a landcruiser:)

yes. I like your gear and I like what the logo says, both in the woods and in society.

That logo is pretty good. if you need a graphic artist; I have a buddy that is fantastic. he's a free-lance graphic artist now and does great work for very reasonable prices. Let me know if your interested. He could help you with branding your company. You will be very happy with is work.

I am so ready to get this bumper bolted to my truck I can't stand it...
Soon! I should have yours together this weekend and then off to powder. It's nice that I can ship standard ground and not freight. Much faster!

Was working on the 100 this morning and went to get the little one so my wife could take the others to swim, left garage open, truck open, tools and parts everywhere n just walked back out to find that mr brown left me a box full of bumper parts inside my garage! :)
Let's check it out!!!

Looks like it arrived in one piece. I think it took almost as long to package as it does to build the bumper:) you have my number, feel free to call with any questions.

I just realized I forgot to send you the straps for around the grill guard towers! At least you can get the main bumper together. I'll get those to you ASAP! Sorry
