2nd torrential rain/ hail ride in two straight rides. Pretty sure it dipped into the 30’s especially on the down hill at the end. I decided to take the long loop since it has been a few since the last ride. Might have been a bad call but so good to get up high again. Beautiful day until I took the left instead of turning around :meh: Ground was cool and hard pack damp on the way up and a river on the way down lol….
Not as bad as the last ride but pretty sure the rear enve bearings are shot.

Probably an extra 15 lbs of dirt and water at the car. Man, I was beat again at the end. Can’t wait to do it again!

..I also have really bad tinnitus that affects my balance and this has been an ongoing issue that's influenced a lot of my physical activities that require balance-- especially biking. And of course, no cure for tinnitus. It just gets worse and worse until you go deaf.
How long have you had it, and has this condition coincided with hearing loss? I have very mild tinnitus and moderate hearing loss.

Disc herniation come from bike crash or working too hard?

Our bikes were stolen in Whitehorse two weeks ago. :( Oh well, time for an upgrade.

I love the feeling when these epic conditions rides are over.

Especially when follow up by a few freezing cold IPA's! LOL, I drove with the heat full blast for an hour and settled for (2) 10% hard seltzers that knocked me out ...

Nice work you are killing it. The sunset even matches your elevation profile! I can’t imagine 2000 riders. I’m usually passing a couple piles of moose poop and 1 bike every ride.

:)2000 "riders" were concert attendees, not cyclists.....

Headlight ride at 0500 this morning. Tehachapi MTB Trails. Sunrise to the East

(obviously), smoke trails to the west.

Wow, not exactly your typical ride! Some more details? Did you go for a dip after?
Trail is called Arroyo seco trail in Altadena runs along JPL. It is a hiking, biking and horse trail. it is only 4 miles in length with lots of inclines. The last mile gets really rocky and lots of switch backs with slight creek crossings. once you get through all that it ends to the Dam with a spillover of water.
The water was refreshing I didn't jump in but I did walk behind the waterfall on the ledge and got myself wet. Another hiker did jump in. He said the water is like 8ft deep.
The payoff is riding back to where the vehicles are parked cause it is downhill from there after all the rocks.
fun never the less. Have been slowly getting back on my bike and trying too build some stamina and get my breathing right.
