Saturday.....A bit further North in Vermont.....Post ride Dark Star Orchestra (DSO) @ Jay peak....
I remember 15 years ago driving my Porsche around your country roads what a beautiful state you have as a playground.
Nice ride you did there!
Cheers

This was my Sunday morning ride. The joy of going down is knowing that you went up first!

What kind of bars are on your riding partner's bike? I'm just finishing my new gravel bike, and I've gone with the wide PNW Coast bars. The jury is out right now, but I haven't ridden it yet, so it's just aesthetic at this point. I mean, they FEEL comfortable sitting on the bike or on the trainer.

I'll check with her Dave and let you know.

Just a quick ride on the rocky mountain pump track. Pretty fun when you drop the seat post, push up a gear or two and stand up pedal through the last few miles.

Got home and popped open a 10 year old Odell’s limited beer I had forever. I lived without toilet incident lol. Myrcenario, a joint venture with Jose Cuervo and Odell’s.

10.6 miler with nearly 600 feet of climbing. It’s hot and humid here, but not like the past few weeks. The ground is hard now, and with the summer downpours, the trails are clean of detritus.

In other words, I was smoking the ride. Felt good!

Out again Friday, probs spin on the weekend.

Close to home with some friends. Getting darker earlier.......

After losing my hard tail to theft in Canada I bought a Specialized Stump jumper,
my first experience with a full suspension bike. Took it up Perseverance this AM, my favorite backyard route. It’s about 8 miles RT from home with approximately 1,000 ft elevation gain. Gravel and boardwalk access to the trail head is flat. The bridge under construction all summer has finally been finished, more or less.
New bike is definitely an upgrade, noticeably superior both uphill and down.
I thought the bigger 29” wheels would be less nimble but at my low skill level this hasn’t been perceptible.

I rode with a friend this a.m. who has a new Orbea Rise carbon mtb. I threw a leg over it and took it for a spin. It's like riding a Honda CRF125 with the engine and drive parts removed ... which is like floating down the road in Grandma's 1976 Grand Marquis. Comfy, but not what I'm after.

Only got about 20 minutes of headlight time this morning before it got light enough to see but still beat the sun rise to the top. Loving the early morning rides.
