I'll see what I can dig up,have everything from rusty to near mint! Somehow? I have 15 t caps! It has turned into an addiction collecting these things, but I think I can let 1 go for a good cause! I also have an unused rk3 with the nubs on it !!!Boy would look good on the back of your rig!

If only we can get that RK3 off to Universal Tire to get them to make mold...

That would b awesome :D

Would universal ven want to do that?

I would buy some :D

I had contacted two places that can do it, but they would want a decent order to make it worth while, and while we can pull a few guys together who would want a set, I do not have the time to try and put together a group buy :frown:

Best bet would be if someone like Mark or SOR contacted Universal, or maybe Coker Tire would be better, and see if they would have more "pull" in getting some made. The only other option I know of, is that they are still being made in Malaysia, but hard to find anyone who could buy a bunch, and import them :frown:

On another subject, is your bezel still pretty original you think? Been having a hard time finding the correct T302 white, but very close to finding a match, and could use some help https://forum.ih8mud.com/fj25-owners-group/393596-t302-ivory-shell.html

I would love to have a few sets and drive around on rk3"s. The one I have I think could easily be used for a mold. They never made redlines for hot rods a few years back,so who knows, but I think if we all express enough interest, maybe somebody will listen. I still cant believe we cant import from malaysia, there has to be someone here that has friends or relatives who can bring them over.Maybe vacation and come back with 4 big suitcases!!

oy looks like the extra carb i sent mark has some issues :(

Will find out more when he calls back, he just left a message this morning.

I hope it is fixable :)

Cannot catch a break with these carbs it seems hehe :D

hehe talked to Mark about the carb

Was pretty filthy still before he cracked into it and started to get the gunk out :)
But he is gonna make it tip top, so all is good:)
Was a little warped here and there but he is gonna sort it out, not nearly as bad as my last one though :)

Mark thanks for the heads up about the rocker arm orientation and the valve guide seals.
The engine rebuilders ( PER ) said they machined their own, non umbrella they say :)

LCNW will hopefully be able to get to my truck next week, I mentioned the rocker arm grooves and orientation and they said they take care of it and it would be on correctly.
Hate asking peeps these questions but I just want to make sure it is all correct.

Thanks again Mark for all the inside info and help.
I should have ordered my head gasket kit form ya, sorry about that, things got kidna crazy :)

this is how filthy the pan was after i did an ghetto cleaning job before i sent it to Mark:D

Mark was giving me some good humored s*** about how filthy it was when he tore it down :D I guess it was pretty gross in the jets, and the throttle was pretty seized up until he did his magic on it :D

Sorry Mark, I did try to clean off thr big stuff :D haha
There were spiders and gunk in it before i "cleaned " it haha :D

Stoked to see it after you do your magic man, thanks again!

Cool artikel, nice pics.
You did come a long way in a year.

Bin away for a week and expected to find pictures of you driving in to the sunset but not yet?

Hope to hear the good news by the end of the week.

Keep the spirit up.:D

Hey Destin,

Sorry to hear about the engine difficulties. Kinda like debugging code. Unfortunately it won't help to send it to India. Ha Ha.

I've taken my 40 ('63 FST for those who do not know) wheeling and it has amazed me with its abilities. It have not been amazed with comfort but I guess I knew that going in. I too have had some more difficulties (crappy paint, crappy paint prep, etc.) but I just try to keep a stiff upper lip and all that what? It has been nice to climb over rocks, a pipe or two and a crazy steep granite ledge. I will say this about our big window carbs, they don't seem to like wicked bumpy trails. It kept stalling. Luckily the starter was up to the task. No problems since with the carb. Also, the oil bath filter spilled oil all over the place (out the intake).

I saw your picture of the wipers working. While those wipers (mine and yours) are cool retro, thank God there are better ones today. They are about as useful at clearing the windows as a spastic chicken might be.

Keep up the good work, perhaps someday we could go wheeling together. Maybe meet halfway in Minnesota or something.

Thanks Bill :D

Oy been crazy with work, hopefully will mellow a bit soon.

Still have not heard back from LCNW about the truck/head installation , will call them tomorrow :D

Hopefully it will be done soon.

still waiting on the shop to get time to put it back together...

ugh, would love to actually get to use the rig before winter sets in.

They must have a work scedual, ask them when it is planned to be done.:hhmm:
