meh powder coaters bent a few rock guards, nothing i could not fix though :)

Will be mounting the taillights hitch and wiring harness tomorrow.

Any one know where to buy new fuel line replacements?
Want to do that while i am at it.

If it is best to flush em out and keep the old ones I am game ( clear lines to the pump, black ones to the pump to carb )

:D

Some place I found very ridged fuel line that was gloss black and smooth. I used it on the '81 as it won't kink and looks beautiful being glossy...

I'm almost thinking it was Home Depot, I will look tonight when I am there.

I thought it would be cool to use those stainless steel strap tie clamps that you use a tool to draw them tight and then cut the end off and then slip thick heat shrink over them...... PIMP!

Are you using color BK08 for all your powder? Ask as its the best I have found for durability and everyone uses it.

weird, maybe mine are hardlines covered by a rubber protective sleeve?
I will take some photos later to confirm :)

Installed the taillights and rear wiring harness today :D

Starting to shape up, need to take the vacumm hoses and bits apart and paint them and reassemble, but getting there :D

Sweet, I will order one :D

another bummer...

the pintle hook I bought bolt pattern is slightly wider than the stock wholes on the rear bumper...

Should i have the bolt holes in the pintle widened?

I haven't had that problem. The only pintle hook I have that's rated at 10,000# is one I have on a adapter for a reciever hitch. The rest are Toyota OEM or or lighter duty. The Toyota is a lot heavier than the military jeep pintle hook. The factory also installed eyelets on the two bottom hooks.

Before I widened the holes I might try to find a lighter duty pintle hook. This mainly going to be for the OEM look. 10,000# is over kill for the FJ40. Are there any military surplus stores around you. Might be a good place to start looking. But I would widened the pintle hook before I would widened holes in the rear of the frame. Just keep in mind that the pintle could could be weak around the holes after yu drill them out

Tell me you're going to paint the front turn signal housings and the bumperettes red?
