Well, my loss is someone else's gain here in the 60 section.

I have a new, never used, NIB OE (not OEM) Denso AC condenser available FOR FREE for anyone that owns a 1981-early 4/1985 FJ60.

It did not fit my truck and my screw up can be someone else's gain. I know I can sell it but that kind of defeats the purpose of the community aspect we have here in the 6x world which I like and am proud to be a member.

So, the rules are:

1. Post up once with the month and year of your Land Cruiser FJ60 truck.

2. Post up also the last time (date) you bought OEM Toyota parts from any dealer--doesn't have to be me. Tell me what you bought and why you went OEM vs aftermarket.

CDan will pick a winner to keep things impartial.

Again, this is only open to folks with an earlier AC condenser. Please look at the picture below and you can see the differences-- the most important being the pipe orientation. Sorry to the folks with a later FJ60.

I will pick a winner the day my FJ60 starts up and runs. :flipoff2:

Good luck.

Regards.

Good move Onur.

I can't use it: 8-'85 60... Good luck to someone. I and most likely the majority of us buy OEM parts from you CDan, Sam Stewart etc, because 'you are the man !'...all of you.

You said it correctly...community.
Thanks, John

Very cool...think I'll have to go through my box-0-stuff and do the same....I seem to have a few "extra" parts building up.

FEB 84 Fj 60
I bought toyota dealer parts 03/11/15 Toyota of Marina Del Rey , CA.
Clutch Throw out bearing and Pilot bearing,
I buy OEM Toyota parts
1. If it has lasted 30 years why not replace it with the same.
2. Buying OEM Toyota Parts now seeing that they are becoming NLA. buy them while I can.

Thanks for the alert @reevesci !

05/84 Build Date FJ60

My last order on February 16th, 2015 was a 5 speed, shift lever, oiler cup, shift knob, 7 bolts to mate transmission and transfer, assorted transfercase gasket x3, assorted transfercase seal x5, idler shaft o-rings, transmission output nut, rear main seal, oil pan gasket, FIPG, throw out bearing, pilot bearing, and 6 spark plugs.

Oh and some mud flaps for my Corolla.

I went with OEM because it's the best. And Toyota is the only place to go for a bolt-in 5 speed. If only I could throw the purchase of my Corolla in there. Does that count? It's just a lot of parts... That happen to look like a car.

All parts (besides the Corolla) from beno himself. Couldn't be happier with his dedication and customer service.

Thanks for the opportunity. :)

I keep thinking of stuff to add. I've pretty much got Toyota in my blood. My Dad bought my FJ60 before I was born. I grew up in it. Took many a road trips in the back seat. Got the keys when I turned 16, and have only continued to improve it since then. This latest purchase will be one for the books. And now I've got a Toyota of my own to keep for 30+ years.

Last OEM parts from CDAN on 1/23/15.
Couple of gaskets, distributor o-ring, and an OEM oil pump to replace the brand new aftermarket POS that was machined incorrectly to accept the distributor. This is why I will NEVER by aftermarket when OEM is available.
As always, the list for the next order is growing as I type.
Thanks, Onur, for your generosity and for helping us all out.

Super awesome
I have an 84 fj60 bought oem fan clutch air filter fuel filter carb kit and got a new gas tank with new fuel sending unit all new lines and fuel pump from kurt at cruiser outfitters all this last two weeks.

most was finished today 3/12/15

I went oem because if it lasted 30 years the first time I know it will again. Why sabre a couple bucks to get stranded

leaving tomorrow to drive it to Vegas for the mint 400 desert race

5/85, so I can't use it, but by the guru graces, I'd like to enter anyway and should I win I will donate to the first early FJ60 owner who can prove they are active Military. If they are overseas, I will ship or pay shipping.

Purchased from Onur a week ago, Ignition lock/key and door lock key. I buy from Onur because he has a hunky, lumbersexual type of beard and he has a parts fetish worse than I do.

I only buy OE or OEM, because if I know if I am 20 miles deep and alone in the Kalifornia desert and an aftermarket part should fail, this apparition will appear in the passenger seat of my rig and scream, "I told you so!" (in Japanese, of course).

the last thing I bought at the dealer, was a turn signal switch for a 1977 fj55-3 years ago. Props to the parts guys!!! good luck to winner

Born Aug. 1984. Something I actually need to finish my A/C. Last part I bought was the air injection check valve. Ordered it on Tuesday and will be picking it up today. Onur, my parts guy said it was the last one and I still need 2 more. Do you know if this true or is my parts guy lazy? Thanks for this give away.

Manufacture date June of 1984
Last parts bought from Nalley Toyota about two weeks ago, small clips for door actuator rods
Always buy OEM when available to guarantee perfect fit, finish, and life cycle

Onur, when do expect to turn the key and hear her purr?

I am in!

(1) 1982 FJ60 Build date 11/81

(2) I regularly by OEM Toyota parts for my trucks. I do so because they seem to be built with good mojo, the quality is second to none, and the factory parts have lasted 30+ years. Finally, I want to drive my 60 till the end of time and stock parts will assist me in achieving my goal. The last original part I purchased was a pair of front door seals, from YOU (Onur) I believe it was in February. This year I have also purchased a heater valve, horn plate, blower motor resistor, a master cylinder, and more stuff that I can't remember.

Thanks Onur!
