I think at this point I would advise the dealership to start talking to me thru my lawyer only...

Sucks that your LC has been down so long. There’s a LX470 in the 100 series along the same lines. Had 2 bad engines first then finally gets rolling again only for a month or so…. First oil change see metal in the filter, back to looking for another engine after shop errors. His all stemmed for a bad installed timing belt but the outcome has been the same with engine replacement.

This tear down showed a broken spring as well. :/

These were from land cruiser take offs. They were taken off at the port. The heritage wheels bbs were put on. Doesn’t seem like Land Cruiser is 100 percent Japanese made.

200’s are 100% JDM materials and assembly. Not sure where the tundra engine is made.
I’m aware of 200 series origin but is the same JDM spring manufacturer making tundra springs and shipping them to Texas for assembly or is the Texas plant getting springs sourced from a NA plant?

According to Dan, no.

Any updates?
3 Blackstone checks (1k, 3k and oil change, and another 1k) and all seems good. Coolant levels have been stable and no signs of overheating. No bad starts and MPG are just as bad as everyone else's 😁. I think I may be in the clear.

Sorry to bring up an old thread. But has anyone done the springs as PM? If so, what was the rough cost?
