(Now resolved daystar sent a new kit that was metric both the bolt and mounts!)A few weeks ago ordered a new body mount kit part #kt04003bk. the first kit i got came with 3/8-16 nuts molded into the body mount and the bolts were m10x1.25. so i called and explained. They said ok we will fix this right away. 2 days later another set of metric bolts arrived. This warranted another phone call. Explained this time at length to 2 different people what the problem was. Today i get another complete set of mounts with 3/8-16 nuts molded in them and a matching set of 3/8-16 bolts.......also included in the package one of the taller mounts with a metric but molded into it.......

Bought a kit a couple years ago. It to had Standard thread in mounts with mostly metric hardware. . . I also found the rear sill mounts required work to fit, could have just been my application.

I have the Energy kit, it all fits fine but uses SAE hardware and isn't C shaped like those (or the originals) but uses a weldnut on top of a plate that just sits on the top of the upper pad.

These honestly don't look like they're that difficult to make. Has anybody looked into what's available in any other country but ours where they would likely have metric hardware? Nothing from Australia or Japan? Africa?

Everybody else in the world has to have the same problem of worn out body mounts for these trucks. I have a hard time believing that SAE hardware is being sent all over the world from here. There has to be another metric option out there somewhere.

There’s already at least two major manufacturers selling these for around $120/set. I’m not sure there’s much of a market for too many more manufacturers.

I agree. I'm sure these kits are similar parts to some other kit that they sell way more of that is supposed to be SAE hardware. I was just throwing it out there to see if there are companies in other countries that make metric kits. I suppose the US could have the worldwide body mount kit market cornered, but I'd be really disappointed if Japan/Australia/Africa/CentralAmerica/SouthAmerica are importing SAE Energy/Daystar kits for their body mount needs. Maybe, but I'd be a little surprised.
