Damn you Dan, I knew where that truck was, buddy had a fab shop in that yard, built my current car. I knew those RVs were behind those gates but no idea about the 45 in there. I had a 64 with fixed cab,

I was going to have you or Landcrusher909 go and check it out for me since it was SO close to both your houses. You were both out of town. You were on vacation and Landcrusher909 was in his adventure.

I was going to ask Tony but he is so done with 45's that he sold his to Hendog.

I was going to ask Wasabi since it was close to his house, I figured he was busy and still had a yard full of rigs.

What are these rims? I've looked through a bunch of FJ45 threads and a lot of them have these rims. Were they just popular back in the 1960's? Or, are they some uber rare Toyota Dealer installed option? Many of the FJ45 in Australia have these same rims.

The aussies had sunraysia rims, very popular aftermarket wheel, these look similar but not sure, they appear to be classic white spokes that half of all us cruiser seem to have had back im the 70,s, btw those are oem hubs! That front driveshaft has been spinning a long time!

Very, very cool! The older Sunraysia rims had 'AUSTRALIA' stamped in 1/4" letters on the rim, so that's a dead giveaway.

I have the defroster vent that seems to be missing from the drivers side that I can't ever seeing me putting back in since I put hinges in my w/s if you decide to put it back in.

Good eye, I will be looking for the a steering wheel, drivers side defrost vent, door striker, skid plate and speedo cable.
I imagine finding a bezel, tailgate and front bumper are long shots.

The correct bezel will cost more than the truck, but few will know if you put any bezel on it. I don't know for sure that it would have had an embossed bezel. Everything but the defrost vent and tailgate should be 40 compatible. In fact the tailgate is very similar to a 40 tailgate. I have a stock 45 one and a fiberglass 40 gate and they are seem to be the same.

for you I might part with this bezel, it's a custom creation, not made by me. I acquired it a few years ago.

does the cab have a dome light? trying to see if the 1 I have in my 63 is stock.

I will check for a dome light. I don't think it has one sines it did not stand out.
Where should it be? Rear of the roof above the split in the windows or on the "B" pillar above the drivers head?

that's where mine is located

I was looking for the dome light and found an interior panel the goes around the rear windows. It is held in with the same Phillips head screws the window latch is. The panel looks factory installed but I have never seen one before.
It appears to be a Masonite or some form of industrial particle board material.

Anyone see anything like it?

Mine has the same material in it also.
