Anyone know this guy from Bring a Trailer?

He wants to do a driveline swap into a good Pig. That looks like a good pig.

Anyone else have a good pig they want to sell?

I'm selling mine pretty soon (on Bring a Trailer). Just did the photo shoot today. Should be live in a week or two.

Well, I won't get the glamour shots back until next week but I've got these...

And it's pretty much what he wants. If you want to toss me a price off line please do.

As someone that has sold 5 on BAT I've got mixed feelings. I've done well 3 times and completely tanked on two others.

It's fun but it's the craziest s*** ever what people like and don't like.

Yes it’s wild. Some s*** I see on there I look at and think that’s a 5k rig maybe with a 1000 paint job and it goes for 40. Then you have a 100k rig that goes for 30. I hate to say there is a lot of ignorance on there but the only thing I can figure is stupid money comes from well not the smartest thinkers. And sometimes the dumb bolt on s*** brings triple the value.

Damn, Hank. Some folks were shocked when I sold mine. But you??? Suspect you'll do very well on BAT.

😲😳🤔☹️😥 Buddy. You still be hanging with us 😥☹️😕😟😘.
Absolutely! I'm not going anywhere. It's been 10 wonderful years with this rig. Just figured maybe it's time to pass the torch.

Thanks man. I'm hopeful but I agree with @wngrog and @sofj45 . It's wild on there. I've sold some FJ62s on there and had positive experiences. I'm planning on listing it with No Reserve which may be risky. But I'm hoping it finds a good home in the Land Cruiser community.

I've gone back and forth about listing our 914-6, which we bought brand new 50+ years ago, on BAT. Found out I'm more attached to the old Porsche than I was the Pig. It'll stay around for a little while longer. MIght wash it this afternoon for the first time since last Fall.
Good luck...ballsy move at No Reserve! Top shelf Pig deserves a top shelf price.

Those 914s are supposedly a blast to drive. Hit me up if you are ever ready to part with it. It'd give me a fun excuse to come visit you!

That'd be ironic as we bought it new from the old Johnson/Bozzani Porsche dealership on Central Ave. in Phoenix while we lived in Tempe.
Mid-engine 914s are a blast. The 16,000 or so made by Volkswagen 1970-76 have various versions of what amounts to the VW bus engine. The 3,300 six-cylinder ones are a whole 'nother story...assembled by Porsche during the initial two years with 911 running gear. Pretty rare in original condition now...most got heavily modified or were turned into race cars.

Keeping these old cars in original condition is a labor of love. Whenever you're ready, I'll be here.
