BIG UPDATE :::
Insurance claims suck, but Landcruiser Specialties sucks worse.
So story is the master cylinder failed. Tim replaced everything in the brake system but that, said it was fine, the truck drives for less than 100 miles and the master fails??? And he's not responsible?????? B f'n S!!! Now I've got an attorney involved. I'm pretty pissed, its been almost 8 months since the accident and I'd be driving for free right now on veggie oil.
So a long backstory,
I helped Tim get the electrical working for three days before the accident back in November noticed a few things messed up.
For one my windshield was broken, wasn't when I brought the rig there, Tim said he didn't do it, or he didn't know. Then there was a huge dent in one of the shocks. And, he mounted the shocks upside down with the pneumatic lines up at the top even after Rancho told him they were directional. Then i notice the front axle isn't straight its like an inch to the rear on the passenger side.
Then, on the first test drive, i braked at a stop light and the oil pan was gouged by the front driveshaft. luckily i was right around the corner from the shop and didn't lose too much oil. I stayed and helped take off the pan and put it back on after Tim spot welded and jb welded the holes. I was f'n livid, the main reason to do the SOA is to clear the damn pan!!!!
Nice work tim!!! props to you!!!
F U C K me right??? after all that.......
then i'm driving to salem and the brakes go out and i hit a semi, luckily it wasn't two minutes before on the highway!
and now the insurance says hes not liable....
But on the bright side Matt and Tony at Landcruiser NW have been super helpful, ran a bunch of the brake tests and are in the process of fixing Tim's s***ty welds and his bunk crossmember and all the accident damage.
Heres some shots of the stuff they'll be working on and the veggie system:
HEaters
Veggie OIl filter with fiber ceramic heat shield from the turbo
Tank
What do you guys think of these welds???
Do they look like $75 an hour professional welds????
Be careful what you do if you take your rig there, I don't think he'd ever SOA'd a 60 before and definitely had no experience with Diesel, but that part of this rig was already done, but he's advertising that he can do them! BEWARE!!!
