For those of you that are attending or want to attend Cruiserfest this year Toyota will be bringing the two pre production vehicles to display. Details on the photo below.

Come on down! We are very excited to have this model on display!

Just an update the vehicle being displayed will be a first edition. The chief designer will also be giving a presentation.

Will these be at the traditional auto shows this fall? Tampa show is in October and would love to see one and sit in one before putting down a deposit...

Does anyone know if the LC250 will be on display again at Cruiserfest 2024?

Just wanting to make plans for next year to see it before it goes on sale.

Just wanting to make plans for next year to see it before it goes on . But I imagine there will be 250s on the road by September 2024.

Production starts next spring.

It was mostly a joke about how long this is taking from release and traveling road show to actual cars in driveways. Second half of 2024 starts to look like it'll really be MY25 vehicle. As a point of reference - I don't see any '24 tacomas showing up on dealer lots yet. I don't have a lot of confidence that they'll actually be in any driveways before Cruiserfest 24. Pretty odd scenario if it works out that they are at the event for two consecutive years before going on sale.

Nothing odd about it imo, pretty standard timeline from debut of CV to 1A, 2A, etc vehicles and into SOP for public. We'll absolutely see them on the road before CF24. The GX550 has an earlier SOP so we'll see those several months sooner fwiw.

It varies. It just seems like a long wait on this from reveal and touring around production ready models. I think the Grand Highlander was about 5 months reveal to delivery. F150 is ~ 3 months from reveal to delivery. IIRC, reveal day or day after is when the order system opens for orders for delivery roughly 12 weeks after. I guess the Bronco was 11 months from reveal to delivery - so it's probably in that range. I think it got pushed back a few times in that period and then production volumes were limited.

Toyota starts next MY vins at least as early as May of the prior year on new models. I currently own a Lexus that was a generation change purchased in May with the following model year designation. The most egregious example I could find is Kia selling January 2015 vehicles as MY 2016. If this pushes to May/June or later - seems like they'd go MY 25.

When do you expect to see GX550 in dealers?

SOP is December. So I‘m guessing Feb-April.
Thanks. My mechanic is telling me that my 2013 200’s undercarriage is very rusty and I should get rid of it. So I guess I’ll be in the market sooner rather than later. 😢

I think I might prefer a 250 over the GX, but not sure I want to wait that long. Heck, i’d love to see what the new 4Runner is like. I’ve thought about the new Taco, but it’s longer and has a worse turning radius, making it more of a pain to park. Also, I cart around my one piece surf rods and that is easier on an SUV than a pickup. Decisions, decisions. I’m guessing the Taco might be available sooner, so I will test drive that once it is available.

The GX550 or LC250 choice is simple. You either want a hybrid or you don't.

I’d like the extra luxury of the GX, but not sure I want to pay for it, and I’d like better fuel economy. I’m not scared of the hybrid, though I understand some people are more concerned than I.
