cool pics
as to the plaque on Golden Spike just before Buttscratcher Ledge:
we knew Willyswanter (Jason) when he was still alive - really really nice guy
just for those not in the know: he died swimming in a lake on the Rubicon; his parents decided to spread his ashes in Moab at the site of the plaque at Blazer Bash 2008, since he built a really cool Blazer

Any details about the swimming tragedy? Was he an accomplished swimmer? Was it just a goof-off dip in the lake gone wrong?
I'm very into open water swimming, so these kinds of things get my attention
from what I heard it was at the end of a wheeling day, he jumped into the lake with everyone else, planning to swim to the little island and just didn't come up again
heart failure, I guess - 25 years old

there was also a thread on ColoradoK5.com - he had the same username there
