Never been to cruise Moab. We did a bit of camping in Moab last year as a family but didn't do much wheeling. Weather or not we will be there is still up in the air, but it is looking more likely than not. We have child care lined up and it will just be me and the wifey. Anyway my question is this: are the good trips going to be full when we get there? We would be looking to wheel trails rated 6-7. Also curious about camping in slickrock; will it be full if we just roll in on Wednesday? Don't want to drive 15 hours to find out the good trails are full and end up camping off somewhere else. Thanks!

have you registered for the event? there's limits on blm permits, so you will need to be a registered participant to go on the assigned runs. if you registered, you will have picked the trails you want to go on.

that said, there a lot who will run outlaw and just drive other trails. find someone who's not doing an organized run and ask to tag along.

the campground where the event is staged will most likely be full, but you can check. slickrock campground

I have not registered. We are waiting to be sure we can make it. Is there a deadline? Where do people camp that can't get into Slickrock? I don't know which trails are which to be able to chose what to try to sign up for. Will it not work to sign up for trail runs once we arrive?

it's most likely full by now. usually fills up by mid march as it's a very popular event

who's going to be there the first part of the week?

I will arrive Tuesday, my 1st CruiseMoab and am looking forward to meeting a lot of you, so don't leave early !!

I'm doing White Rim solo on Mon/Tues/Wed. Called Slickrock Campground today and reserved a spot for Wed/Thurs. I am heading home on Friday morning so unless there is a one day pass I'll just be there on my own. If anyone else is around that can't register and wants to meet up shoot me a PM.

We'll be pulling in this Sun. evening as usual. Back in our 162-3 corner again. We'll be hauling in firewood again from MT and as always we welcome social interaction. Less than a week away!

$50 spent at the local meat market tonite....and reserved 6# of FRESH curds to be picked up tomorrow :bounce:

I know the feeling. My foodsavers' been working overtime sealing up "care" packages. Smoked salmon, baby back ribs, cheese... I juiced a whole bag of Costco limes just for drink prep. Don't want to ruff it. :D

Switched my plans to be there Monday night so I can have a relaxing wheeling day Tuesday before the event starts

I'll be rolling in Monday afternoon....I'm bringing the F-Toy.

Looking forward to #2 CM!

However...

I blew out a sidewall on my way to Moab. I was able to make it into SLC with my trail spare but am now without a spare tire for travelling and wheeling! I am in SLC area till wed before heading to Moab

Odd size and any help is appreciated.

I am running SS Irok radial 37/12.50 X 15. I am willing to do a 17 if I can find a wheel to go with it.

Please call, pm, or email if you can help.

Thank you,

clint
