Dang, no Cliffhanger on Friday.

Have fun dudes. Big boss said I have to work. He gets to go and have fun.

:(

I might try to sneak up Friday through Sunday. I'll bring the spare parts.

Sounds great, guys. As usual, we'll get a good turnout from our club. Keith has also registered, and he's got Hell's as the #1 choice on Friday. I don't recall his other choices, but I'm sure he'll post up. It will be great fun!

Kokopelli Trail!
Then the usual stuff after.

With or without a V8?

-Mike-

I need another LC while the 80 is down.
I just drive it too much, especially considering it hauls a girlfriend four kids and three dogs quite handily.

Maybe by CM2012.......

I saw that. I'm on the wait list for Kokopelli, San Rafael otherwise.
I don't even know yet if I can go or if the family can go with me if I go, but I guess I can cancel later. That is during finals for Ashleigh and the kids are still in school, so not an ideal time for me to leave them. And planning a 3 or 4 week trip later in the summer might make it harder to get leave approval.

Better think fast David. Kokopelli overnight is full and Swell overnight is filling fast.

I'm not registering as usual this year and will be going renegade since I'm only coming up for Friday and Saturday.

Thursday: Poison Spider Mesa
Tip Toe Behind the Rocks
Pocupine Rim

Friday: Hell's Revenge
Metal Masher
Porcupine Rim

Sat: Wipe Out Hill
Kane Creek Kanyon
Fins-N-Things

Picked a couple easier trails so I can swap driving duties with Han and get her some time behind the wheel. Looking forward to it as we missed last year's run.

I registered. That means I now have a self-imposed deadline for getting Dad's 40 back on the road, huh? :crybaby:

Nothing hard at all. Fins, E-hill is pretty much it for the 40. It gets to be babied for a while, after all this work.

That, and if something goes wrong we can take something else on all of those trails pretty easily.

Fins is ok, but it gets a little boring after a while. E-hill is fantastic. There were some challenging spots for my unlifted, long-wheelbase, draggin' wagon. I still lost a lot of paint from both bumpers and my receiver hitch. You'll probably still lose a little bumper paint. Chicken corners was very easy but very scenic. That was my trail list from last year. I've got other vacation plans this year so I'm going to skip CM11.

Marc is right about Fins&Things. It's a little easier than E-Hill but it's a great shakedown run for a "new" vehicle and would be less harsh on the truck. Plus you're closer to town if something breaks. See if you can get Rising Sun to let you run the 40 on F&Ts and then E-Hill. E-Hill really isn't that hard especially for a SWB truck, it just takes a little more attention so you don't, like, drive off a cliff & stuff. Heck, I ran it once in an open-diff 40 by myself, in the rain. Also ran it in the 60 one year with HDC when uinbeknownst to me I had no front drive (misassembled hub - not by me!) only an autolocker in the back.

Problem with E-Hill is that it's a good ways down the road away from anything.

Tougher to recover if things go south (though I doubt they will with Dan's attention to detail).
