Front > "I survived meeting Mickey Rubicon at Moab 2K7"
Back > "But now I have no more liqor"
are you at least going to spell liquor correctly?
I am sure everything will be fine (gulp!)
Edit: BTW (from the other thread) The only time I pull out my guns is concerning my daughters who will both be there driving their own trucks. Not so sure I need to anymore, someone was giving my 16 year old a hard time and she kicked him in the balls (Ouch)

Absolutely (and I will be there drinking & laughing with you).
Drunks bellowing at each other across the campground or blasting off air horns?
No. We will kick you out of the event and ask you to leave the campground. [/INDENT]
We always have a good time at Cruise Moab, and we do enjoy some drinks back at camp. As long as everyone drinks responsibly, we should be fine. I've been part of the organizing committee for the last 5 years, and our main concerns with drinking and partying are:
- The other campers.
- The people who own the campground.
We don't have dozens of options for campgrounds to use as Cruise Moab HQ. Last year we tried a new campground, which was too small and the owner was unhappy with life. So this year, we're back to Slickrock Campground, which has a new owner.
Examples:

Unfortunately, this isn't a remote campground out in the middle of nowhere where our group will be the only occupants. This is a large campground in the city of Moab. There will be other campers in the campground, including families with young children. Some of these folks may be non-drinkers. We will treat all of our neighbor campers with respect.
We have asked the campground management to group us together, to minimize our impact on the other campers. In years past, we have had a few complaints from other campers about our group. We will do our best to keep the other campers happy by keeping the party under control.
Worst case scenario
If the campground is unhappy with us after Cruise Moab 2007, they might tell us not to come back for 2008. That might mean NO CRUISE MOAB. All the campground owners know each other; Moab is a small town.
This doesn't mean we won't have a good time. But this is an adult good time, not a drunken teenager party out in the middle of the woods.
I'd also like to point out that you'll be a much better driver on the trail if you're not hungover. Seriously.
Leaving KC on Monday, anyone from out east coming though town on the way out west on I-70? Justin
Matt, were just building up the drama of Moab so everyone that cant go has something to look forward too, the Mickey stories.

Matt, after consultations with Mickey and enviromental research we are gonna leave the air horns behind, much to unfair to the fragile envroment of Moab.
does anybody know where to get mechanical sirens?
J/K nothing but love
Why is everyone spun up about Mickey coming?
I am sure he knows we don't allow drinking on the trail runs and will comply like everyone else.
After the trail runs people do party and have a good time with consideration to the other campers. We self police this to keep the campground owners and the local police happy. We donate stuff (Bike gear for their patrols) to the local police and have developed a good relationship with them. That's important when you host an event of this size.
I have heard Mickey volunteers to help at events and volunteered to help at this one.

Mickey, come on out I am sure you will be fine.
Never hurts for us to repeat the rules, that will leave you no excuse to complain if you get drunk obnoxious and pass out and wake up duct taped to a chair with your head painted blue and a tattoo that says "I love Jim" across your right arm and one that says "I squeel like a 2F, try me " right below it.
We put a lot of work into this event and many consider it to be the primo TLCA event. We do tend to get protective.
Now, where did I put that blue paint![]()
