posted on risingsun also, but what sort of e-brake do I have to have to participate? I'm registered but I have a one ton swap with no ebrake. I have used 1st double low for the last few years, no issues.

Another part of that question, I am not able to arrive until Thursday evening, so I miss tech and the first day of trails. How do I proceed from there, just play dumb and show up to my trail assignment on Friday morning :)?

The vehicle must have a functioning emergency brake (or line-lock) that will stall the engine in third gear when the clutch is dropped (4 speed) or in 2nd gear (3 speed). Automatic transmission vehicles must hold when the vehicle is "power-braked" against the emergency brake (in high range). All vehicles must pass tech inspection before joining an event run. The trail leader verifies that the vehicle has passed tech inspection before the run begins. No pass, no run.

ok, so a line lock will work. One more, how do I "tech and check" when I get in late Thursday?

see the event organizers and check-in and tech can be arranged.

There will be tech first thing on Thursday and Friday mornings before the trail runs. You should have plenty of time.

I want to says TLCA say no on the line locks since it is actually part of the service brakes and not a seperate braking system. I'll check on that and let you know.

Another option is actual wheel chalks. Not a rock or a 2x4 but actual chalks like for an airplane or fire truck. We passed a couple of people last year that had them.

i think last year we voted yes on line locks.

I hope your e-brake works and you have your current registration and proof of insurance with you......;)

if by "e-brake" you mean parking brake - yes it does. I will bring current registration as well as proof of legal residency and a recent paystub. Will there be a credit application and an FBI background check as well? I also have that covered since I had to cross the Shasta Dam. Do you need proof of car insurance or life insurance? - I have proof of both.

cheerio :)

BYOB for sure!

:grinpimp: on the Line lock issue.. That would have been a pain in the arse try and retrofit somthing to my truck.. my only real option would have been to go back to the drum brakes.. :frown:
