Got to the property unloaded and checked the Aspen trees and only lost one out of 8. Not too bad since the last time I watered them was first of July.

Had a nice sized tree that lost the top so decided to remove it.

The roots were rotten and it moved while pushing with the excavator so decided to push it over instead of cut it down so there’d be no stump.

Drove around this morning before breakfast and found where the wildfire was this summer. Thankfully the Bootleg Wildfire was almost contained so crews were able to jump on this and get it out quickly. Burned only 14 acres.

Cleared some trees at the driveway entrance and started working on the ranch entry way.

With the casing so heavy it decided to cut the casing for in the ground and cement them in. Then install a 6” weld collar for the posts above ground level. This should make it easier to work and maneuver into position.

I’m a big fan of cold brew. New pumpkin flavor is the shizzle!

Actually rained this morning so drove up to Diamond Lake Resort for breakfast. Their country fried steak was the best I’ve ever had.

hey @Hojack , google rako valkea for what to use the standing dead for. trust me, you'll like it 👍

Yesterday rained off & on which is great for us. The woods need it badly. I decided to do more clearing on the first lot I purchased. Years ago someone thinned the trees but just left them where they fell so it was just stacked like match sticks and unusable. The mini sure made quick work of that!

I imagine if/when the area gets some snow that the burn pile restrictions will be lifted?

Yeah. Best time to burn slash piles are definitely with some snow on the ground.

How is his foot doing?

Got cold 🥶 last night, into the mid teens.

Before breakfast played around with the chainsaw. Travis’s lot doesn’t have hardly any small pine trees. This lone pine has made it through all our work. Being driven over by the mini excavator and truck/ trailer over the past year.

Spent the day working on the mini. The exterior of both the pumphouse and bathhouse are ready for winter.

Continued gathering old wood and bringing it to the slash pile. The pile is getting huge. Should be a lot of fun setting it off once we get snow.

Since it’s perfect time for transplanting trees decided to plant some along the neighbors fence line.

Started gathering logs for firewood and for milling into lumber. The Woodmizer sawmill is expected to be ready for pickup by late October.

My brother Casey came for his first trip. Decided to show him the Pinnacles in Crater Lake National Park via the redneck backroad.
