Man, haven't even picked up my 200 and woody already added me as a Moderator to this section as well :)

We are all counting on you... don't let us down :)

Hilarious! Welcome, that is a purdy truck! :grinpimp:

Romer - I used my lockers on my 80 periodically and yes, mostly the rear locker. I did use both when trying to climb vertically out of a drainage area in a very wet muddy condition and it was awesome to see (and a bit scary when sliding sideways while climbing). I have also used my ATRAC in my 100 in mud, snow, and well... it was all I had, but I was impressed and I NEVER got stuck. Some of that was luck.... that I know!

Now, with ATRAC and CRAWL, I am looking forward to trying to get stuck! With that said, I am still waiting until I have snow rated ATs on my newly acquired 18" rims before I try that! Having the correct tires and knowing how aggressive to drive within a situation have been the biggest advantages that I have seen to date. (Speaking to the choir, I know...) With that said, I am taking the 100 out on Saturday into Central Idaho and we'll see if I get stuck in snow this time! :hillbilly:

Next year it will be the LX, dammit!

PS You will love the ride in that 200!

I have pushed my rig into some questionable spots and have yet to NEED my rear locker. These trucks are mountain goats.

Search for @Billfish 's experiences with his lockers or perhaps he can relay them here.

Eaton E-Lockers vs. ARB Lockers

I will go with Eatons if we ever determine that we need lockers. Several US dealers carry Eaton or if you use the exchange to your advantage - 1100 US for front and 1050 for rear at the moment.

Thanks. BTW I bought the camper from Australia. I am the 4th guy to import one new. With the Aussie dollar so low against the USD I couldn't resists. You take the Aus price, subtract 20% tax since its an export, then multiply by the currency conversion. so 100AUD= $100*.8*.72(conversion rate) = $57.6 USD
How much did it cost to ship??

it was included in mine due a slot, but typically $2K to port of LA. They are a legal importer so no dutys or anything. Just normal tax in your state like when you buy a vehicle

What is the general consensus on upgrading to a rear ARB bumper with a tire carrier? The ARB rear approach angle looks very close to stock. I am on the fence trying to talk myself into pulling the trigger but cannot justify it. The one benefit I can see immediately is access to the spare. But does that justify a 2k investment? My 200 is more of an expedition rig and I have very little desire to rock climb hardcore. Thoughts?

I'm holding out until Christo Slee releases his rear bumper/carrier later this year (hopefully!).

I would wager a million chocolate chip cookies it will make ARB's bumper look like an aluminum can (aluminium to you royal types...)

Yo Christo! ETA? ;) I'ma save me pennies...

If you are not sure if you'll need it, wait until you drag the stock rear bumper a few times before buying a rear bumper. If you never drag and dent it and you don't have large spare that won't fit in the stock location, then forget about it unless you just want it. Maybe go with something else, sliders and a suspension upgrade?

I am thinking the same, wait until it breaks before upgrading. I am ordering sliders and skids next month - good to go on the lift, front bumper and winch. Appreciate the feedback.

Just remember that most rear bumpers actually need portions of your existing bumper in good shape, as the stock bumper is almost always cut as "trim" above heavy bumpers...so don't ruin it too hard...

Personally, I value a rear bumper for the protection and jack points it provides, too...so postponement, or doing things that might destroy a stock bumper might extend damage to the rest of your back-end. No thanks...

Guess I will have to start a new thread for my questions. No longer contemplating :D All tucked away in the garage with my other Toys
