If you can, try to hit the bolts with "Kroil" or "aerokroil" penetrating lubricant. That stuff is expensive, but it's by far the best stuff I've used and IMO would give you the best bet of those bolts coming off intact without creative measures.

I'm familiar with PB B'laster and the mechanic said he was going to use something even better. Should have asked him what he was using.
Regardless I will check out Kroil and will give it a shot if the bolts are indeed seized.
I'm trying not to get too worked up about it at this stage. The bolts are doing their job even if corroded and the only reason to remove them is to replace the cat shields (they are spotless).
