Hi, great thread and trip, just awesome.

I've been in La Paz and is like a landcruiser owner`s paradise.

It would be great if you could gave me the contact information for Ernesto Hug and its workshop, I need to do some work in a 70 series in Bolivia and I haven't been able to find a good, clean and efficient workshop there. Ernesto's seems to be the solution.

thank's in advance and good luck, can't wait to see the bj fully restored.

Coen -
The 45 is looking great! If you are by the shop where you bought the Mexican urethane spring bushings, I would love to get their contact info/phone number.
Thanks!

can you still tip your windscreen forward. you haven't put the defrost ducts in or your wiper linkage on, dash pad also if you still use one . ,just thought i would mention it .great build .

The roof will be fixed, so we don't use the option of tipping the windscreen forward. The ducts will be there, but the screen has to go first.

another idea to prevent people from stealing things from your car: us torx bolts. Or even worse; those screws they use in electric razors. Torx with a pikkie in it or triangle screws, even with a pikkie in it.
You do need one of those extra bits if you wanne work on your car, though. They sell them in boxes; all sorts.

Try to avoid the salty desert in future! Now you know what salt can do.

Getting the brake fluid in the system.

Somewhere on a market I came across some old Sika with the expire date neatly covered with a small new sticker with a different date. With the latest batch Sika changed it into an engraved notice on the bottom and removed the side stickers.
