I just bought the Icon 3” Stage 1 for my 97. Planning on ARB bull bar with winch in front, maybe sliders in the future. This thread leads me to believe the Icon CC bushings are a waste of time and I should get the @Delta VS 3” arms or maybe even 4”.
I should probably get spacers too, just to make sure I can correct any lean. I’ve already got two rigs with lean and don’t want a third.

I never posted here but I sent my data straight to the spreadsheet. Here it is for the forum,

Dobinsons front C97-146VT and rear C97-147VT
DeltaVS 3L Radius Arms with stock bushings
Front Lift: 2.5"
Rear Lift: 4.0"

Caster: 4.4°

Equipment at time of Alignment: L96 Iron Block V8 with 6L90e trans, DeltaVS Full hoop front bumper, 12K winch, DeltaVS rear bumper with 35" tire mounted. 42 Gallon Aux Fuel Tank (Empty). Stock Fuel tank nearly full. Empty Sliding Drawers, and RTT to be added.

Correct…do this. Don’t bother with the CC bushings.

Thanks for posting this as I'm always interested in those coils. One small observation from glancing over the chart - it appears the stock could have a .75-1.5" panhard difference from the factory, so I guess according to this methodology that means you seeing 1.75/3” lift?

That would check out since that bumper/winch is probably a good 250-275lbs and your engine/trans adds another 150 or so?

Sorry to nitpick, just thinking out loud trying to grok this data 😊

I don't think the L96/6l90e adds another 150lbs. Time to Google...

1FZ-FE bare block: 175 lbs
L96 bare block: 217 lbs.

A343F: 178 lbs
6L90e*: 243 lbs (slightly heavier than a A442F)

The difference is at least 107 lbs. There are other things like the L96e has two smaller heads vs 1 larger 6 cyl head...

I think you are right...the engine/trans might be adding another 150lbs.....

When I first chose the motor/trans..I thought it might be an even swap...lol. Nope.

C97-146VT is rated for 2.5" with a 200 lb load. This explains why I am only seeing 1.75" net lift in the front.

@crikeymike, at Exit Offroad, suggested that one could always add a spacer to add lift. Much harder to reduce a lift if you have too much lift...

The rear springs C97-147V are rated for a 2" lift at up to 400lbs added weight. I still have weight to add (RTT, clothes, gear, food) to the back, which means the rear 3" lift will be reduced. Edited to add that I have a 42 gallon aux tank which could add another 250lbs of added weight if completely full.

I am very happy with the springs. The truck feels very tall to me with the 35" tires...

*6l80e has a dry weight of 195 lbs, according to what I can find on google.
