Man, I'd be pretty weary about using the "peel n seal" stuff in the engine bay. I think it would be too hot for it to stay put on a vertical surface.
Can you adjust you fans individually? I have two fans that come on at 185 degrees I believe. I'm noticing that my temps will spike since fans and thermostat all start working at 180-190 resulting in the temp rising up before the fans can catch up bringing it back down.
My plan is to try to get one to come on around 150 to gradually bring it up to operating temp.
Right now I have a threaded temp switch. I want to keep this type instead of going to a probe that mounts on the fins of the radiator but it seems if I want a adjustable temp setting I may have to go that route. If I do I guess I already have a threaded hole for a proper temp gauge ready to go.I think what they said was at the temp setpoint fan 1 comes on. At 15 degree's above that fan 2 comes on until temps drop 5 degree's below setpoint then they shut down. Not 100% sure on that though.
Edit: well I was wrong. I guess that operation was what I saw wanting done in my head. Just hooked the controller up with lights and it turns both on at the same time and off at the same timeI guess I will either have to use two controllers or make my own.
or use this controler: http://amzn.com/B004XONX8U , but i dont want to spend the $130 right now
Anyone see any problems with the way I routed my rear heater hoses?

Nice clean work and way to get after your conversion.
Any thoughts of using soft copper in the hard to get to areas?
For the fans there is a 3pin switch Standard part #TS296. I believe it originally came from a BMW two temp settings standard and hotter for a secondary.
The reviews weren't very good on using the probe in that controller. At least something is out there.3/8" threaded sensor http://amzn.com/B004XONXBM
Due to my lack of budget at the moment I am probably gonna stick with the controller that came with the kit for the time being then upgrade at a later point. something due to the fact that my wife needs a bunch of baby stuff for our first kid that is due in a couple weeks....I dont see the big deal
she will just need some dippers and a teet for a while right
I think soft copper would work just fine. I am gonna need to see what room I have once I am able to actually put the friggin motor and tranny in there.... if the parts ever show up from Dustin.sorry needed to vent
thats an interesting idea. I like the idea of having the temp set point adjustable without having to buy a new sensor though.
