Thanks Hobbes, still learning a lot about these. Appreciate the info. I will correct it ASAP.I cannot help you, but for those who can, they'll need to know FJ what. The FJ Cruiser was not made in 1974. FJ40? FJ45? FJ55?

Thanks for the speedy reply. Much appreciated. I've seen others with 5 prongs with one going to gauge lights. That's where I was tying it into this thread to see if I was mistaken on the contacts and whether or not one went to the gauge lights.Looking at the switch from the back as shown in your pic.
Top Left and Bottom Left are the Park Light switch contacts. Top Left goes to +12V. Bottom Left out to all Park Lights.
Top Right and Bottom Right are the Head Light switch contacts. Top right to +12V. Bottom Right to dimmer switch then out to headlights.
Another question for you due to my wiring experience being limited to none. My harness has a LEFT TAIL PARK wire, and a LEFT FRONT PARK wire. How do I account for both off of the one connector (being the bottom left on the picture)? Thanks for the speedy reply. Much appreciated. I've seen others with 5 prongs with one going to gauge lights. I figured there would be. A few of those secrets! Thanks for the insight.
That my friend is a trade secret!
Seriously, inside the harness that Mr. Toyota designed, are many splices. The Park Light circuit has several of these. You will have to figure out how to do harness splices in order to build a harness from scratch.
The OEM schematic shows all the splices, but does NOT show where they are located. Use the schematic to determine what splices you need, then determine the best place inside the harness to make them.
Question for ya?Looking at the switch from the back as shown in your pic.

What is the connection in the center for that has the black housing around it? I have this gauge but can't find the wiring diagram for it and don't know what that connection is for. Thanks for any help!Found the missing gauge cluster 9/72 - 9/73
I was always wondering why I couldn't find pictures of a '72 - '73 cluster.
Thanks to Mud member Sproggy we found it.
The front looks like a 3rd gen. cluster but the back looks like a 2nd gen. cluster.
Clearly this was the change over model from Sept. 1972 till Sept. 1973.
The cluster is technically a 3rd gen. cluster. Front and internals are identical to the 3rd gen. cluster.
The back side is a metal housing (2nd gen. style) but without the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) from the 3rd gen. clusters.
Have a look......
