My thoughts.

We all have need from time to time for use of a special tool that might get used once in a blue moon. But is nessessary to do the job right. If UC bought the tools and charged a small fee for rental would ya'll be interesed in something like this?

Yeppers

Great idea.

Now, would someone who knows how to use it come along with the rental? :)

yup I have most everything I need.............. did I mention a TUBE BENDER or I might settle for a plasma cutter :grinpimp:

SO you have a SST knuckle centering tool, a clamshell puller, C-clip pliers, Vaccum guage, Dwell meter, Code scanner and a timing light. These were the things I was talking about.

JP doesnt need any fancy tool with those long names.... he just improvises

You can also break things on the trail with redneck engineering and have all the members of the club stop what they are doing and extract a vehicle out of the trail the rest of the day.

I don't know about you guys, but I would be uncomfortable renting out my "special tool" . . . .

I wouldn't, I need the money....just not to you guys!

Actually, I do have an OBDII code reader, C-clip pliers, a fed to splice synthetic rope in the field, and several other interesting toys in the back of the Avocado...oh yeah, I also have air tools for the field too :)

I know marshall I was just picking on you :D

Redneck engineering had nothing to do with the distributor going on that was done by the PO. :flipoff2:

Seriously though,

Getting back to Marshall's brain storm, it sounds like we have a bunch of tools already within the Club and may not need to buy much of anything.

Perhaps a "directory" could be established of who has what tool and is willing to loan it out, perhaps with a slight donation to the club.

Now, who has a lift?
