Perks of having grey interior. Brand new driver side belt.

Also good for running On board Air !!

I use the same one.

Hopefully you gas pedal has the accommodations for the cable ;)

Also always use the pedal to set the desired RPM and the hand throttle just to set it, I have heard of the cable breaking trying to pull on it to set the RPMs

Thanks for the tip. Yes my pedal has the provision for the hand throttle. It’s going to be a nifty little tool. My 88 pickup was a pain in the ass when using the winch for anything outside of a traditional recovery situation.

I’ve been tracking down an issue with the rs3000 alarm piezo not sounding when using the remote.

After replacing the old one with a new recommended amazon unit (didn’t work), then replacing with a new factory style Floyd bell m80w it still didn’t have the audible beeps.

I reprogrammed everything multiple times and was still scratching my head with no audible beeps. In a last ditch effort I removed the driver side kick panel to inspect all the wiring. There are three wire connections in there for the alarm. After fiddling with the connections….. “beep…beep” 🤦

Happy everything works as it should. I like the audible confirmation as I walk away. It was a less than 1 🍌 job which I turned into a head scratcher.

After searching I came up empty. How tall does the Sherpa la Sal rack sit on top of the roof? Anyone know? I want to know if I would still be able to get it in my garage.

Replacing the oil level sensor gasket. There is no telling how long this has been broken in there. Slightly worried about missing pieces in the pan. Sh!t.

For now I’m going to remove the other pieces from the sender, put on new gasket, and run it until I can get a new one.

There is a large part of me that wants to drop the oil pan….

Ordered a new sender. $159 at the local dealer with current discounts. The old float was very brittle. So, I drained the oil (no visible pieces) and will also get a new filter. Hopefully tomorrow I can install the new sender, fill with oil and get it back on the road.

Oil level Sensor. Pretty cheap, but partsouq is still much cheaper. $114 deliver to me in NE TN.

You’re right partsouq is the definitive place to get parts when you have about a week. This time I was pleasantly surprised I was able to get it faster, likely overnight, and not get totally raped from the local dealer.

Great price for overnight. Totally worth it.

There is not much out there about resealing the lower oil pan on a 1fz fe. Thats the black one with the oil drain plug. This seems to be the only info I can find.

looks easy if all the 10mm bolts come out well. Remove, clean, apply new gasket maker, reinstall. I’m going to give it a little time to see if the new oil level sender gasket helps around the pan seal area but does anyone have any input on the subject?

Not a hard job, I had to do mine, it went well without issue !

Do your self a favor put the gasket sealer around the bolt holes not just in the grooves like the video shows ;)

It’s easy! Just make sure you clean it very well before applying new. I also made sure each bolt had a dollop of FIPG on it before sticking inside the hole.
