Im going. I'll prolly head out a bit early and meet you all at 126. I dont want to hold the group back doing 60 with my '64 3speed.

Everyday the snow forcast gets worse and worse (or better i guess :D) Now its up to 80% precip and 1-2inches of snow expected in Rio Rancho on Saturday and over a foot in the high country!!

Josh,
You won't hold back the group. Meet us at the N portal (SE corner of 550 and 528) at the gas station at 8am. We will be standing around and talking for a few minutes and we should all be prepared to leave at 8:15 so we don't keep the northern contingent waiting on us. Once we make the turn at San Ysidro the going is kinda slow anyway.

You'll have an HT, right? We frequently use 146.460 for vehicle-to-vehicle communication. A secondary frequency will be coordinated on Saturday if necessary. You can hang at the back of the line if you want as long as we can communicate with you.

For those with CB only, use Ch-40.

On our NorCal trips, we've been using 146.400 as our secondary frequency if the LC frequency got too busy. Just a suggestion. I like monitoring both.

yep, Ali and i call that HDC-2 very useful since that echolink repeater was installed in belen on 146.460

i vote we start on 2 since we will have to deal with traffic on 146.460 just getting to the n portal.

i'll listen on 146.400 and Sandia ML

oh yeah, and my parents aren't coming so the seat thing is not a problem regardless of my inlaws...

phew, out of the house before 7, it's like a workday only sleeping in a couple hours. (that actually sounds like a weekend when i say it out loud, lmao)

Ill have a HT but I'll only be listening. I am planning on testing for my license this month. Finally figured out how to use this old thing. Its about 20 years old I think.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Pick your forecast. You gents are gonna have a grand time. I'm really wishing I wasn't working. Though, it could be fun just getting to work.

Oh cool Steve. Yeah I meant you. Nice to see that the 40 is rolling.

Speaking of Hemphill...Steve, are you and Wendy coming?

Got the chain saw all fixed up...figured with this wind we are going to need it!

I have a warm tingly feeling inside at the thought we could get some good snow:bounce:
The best was the 16+ inches we got in WV a few years ago...general population scared to leave home and that left open roads for drifting and donuts!!!
