We'll
Guys I have bought a new ute I will post some pics when it turns up next week it needs a little work but couldn't resist buying it

1987 75 series ute with a fully rebuilt 12ht with fully rebuilt injector pump and injectors so if anyone in aus has a factory fsm for the 12ht I would love one as the workshop manual I had was in my 80 when it was stolen

I've got a 12H-T FSM as a PDF. I can't remember what year it is, but they should be the same. Send us a PM with your email address and I'll send it through.

BTW, the 75 with the 12H-T should be one sweet machine!

Thanks Aussie pm sent

If anyone finds an original fsm book would still live one of those two cheers chappo

We'll I got up this morning and started work on my ute I was underneath it at about nine o'clock and I could here my phone going off for about five minutes so once I had filled the transfercase with oil I checked my phone to find out they were all birthday messages I had lost track of dates lately because of all the crap I have been going through and had forgotten my own birthday so i am officially 21 so hopefully my new ute turns up in a couple of days as my own present to myself and I will be a bit happier

Thanks mate it's funny that everyone that knows me reckon I should be in my 50's because of the old things I grew up with and still like

Happy Birthday, and you're lucky to be getting a 12H-T 75 for it, even if you did buy it yourself!

We'll the new ute turned up
Needs a bit more work then I wanted to do to one and a very good clean in and out but the motor sounds good

looks great mate.

looking forward to seeing the 47 finished mate, keep up the good work. hopefully one day I will doing the same sort of thing...........

Looks nice to me too.

But did your thieving compatriots strike again and take the fuel cap?

I hope they don't decide to take the rest later....:(

No tom the bloke I bought it off said it needed a new fuel cap to pass rego didn't tell me it was gone completely so I will have to drain the tank because it has been raining so it will have water in it. He could have at least covered it luck the fuel gauge says half full so the water will be on top of the diesel and hopefully hasn't gone in the engine

Water is heavier than diesel so it'll lie on the bottom.

40-series have a drain plug in the bottom of their fuel tanks so hopefully this later model has too.

I periodically remove my plug to ensure I have no water likely to enter my fuel pickup and be drawn up towards my engine. (The base of my fuel filter has further water-trapping ability though as a back-up.)

(So far I have never discovered any water in any of my draining operations ... but then I also like to keep my fuel tank relatively full during winter to help reduce the likelyhood of condensation. )

That PO is an A-hole for sending the truck to you without anything covering the fuel neck!

It's been sitting probably for a few months without a fuel cap

So I got a temporary fuel cap till Monday when I will order one the local shop didn't have the right one in stock.

I started cleaning the new ute today pulled the seats out and the vinyl floor so much dirt in it and just surface rust in the floor pan I may need a new windshield frame as mine has a rust hole in the passenger side inside the cab about 3" long might pass roadworthy I don't know

There is so much wiring in the ute that's not connected to anything it's all po stuff
