Very nice work.
Sorry to hear about the 80 series. A cousin of mine was just about to bay a BJ42 LX. The day he rang to ask the bloke if he'd sell it to him (yesterday) he said "I would, but it got stolen this morning!" Someone's after cruisers at the moment!

Yeah a local cop got his stolen the same morning as well was kitted out like mine too

That seem about right as my ute didn't have them anyway

I just sold my 91 turbo saraha to a bloke who got his stolen a few months back in sydney. Must be a quite a few containers going overseas at the moment.

Probably I was planning on selling mine in about 6months when I had the business and ute running

If the 80 never turns up I will put my ute on the road soon

Still missing

I don't want another 80 series as I am used to being in and around old leaf spring trucks I don't want to spend alot of money on a 75 series as they are all over priced still and it will be a dd for a few years with a trailer for my mowing business then I will upgrade to a brand new v8 ute because at this point in time I would prefer to buy a bj42 and take my time on my ute and not rush perfection because there is so much more I would like to do my self but don't have the time right now plus the Bj has rego till next year

I probably would never own another 80 series in my life just love older vehicles that I have been bought up with or a 200 or v8 70 series in the future only because the v8

Hey chappohj47, been looking at that BJ42, its pretty clean, 300,000 on the clock probably getting close a minor rebuild. Ugly bulbar, but the price is not to bad, if you could knock the price down a little would be a better deal?

That's what I was thinking looks like a good body on it. I will find out trying to look at it on the week end

I had my 80 for 15 years carting the family around and it worked great for that purpose. I never really had it close to my heart not sure why maybe all the electric stuff on the Saraha put me off. My next late model cruiser will mean a flight to Western Australia to search for a ex mine FZJ79 extra cab diesel ute to do up for a trip around Australia with bikes, boat and caravan. My beautiful wife of 20 years decided she will not travel in what she calls my rattle rattle bang bang hj45.

Rattle rattle bang bang if I buy a bj42 hopefully no one will steal it because it will make the same noises if I do get it I can just save up for a few years to buy a new one

The bj42 will be a great truck as long as the rust hasn't got to deep into the body. Stuff buying a new truck $62.000 for a base model cab chassis. I would rather spend my money on a cheap mine truck and fix her up with some blood sweat and tears as I hand over the money for parts.

Got a bit more done today got the mud guards on and did a bit of engine wiring also got the steering column and box in and the drivers seat to see if I would fit as it didn't have a seat when I bought the ute
The steering has a fair bit of play in it so hope the new tre will solve most of this problem
