Can you get a 70 Series in the USA?

Just not into them, would rather buy other models, and I really haven't had anyone inquire about them.

Crushers-- ---No I'm not hinting I bought my truck from any one..
I just offered up a link, seems like you all knew it..:)
Just tring to break onto the forum and all..

I have learned a few of this trucks short comings.. for sure..
But it is not the only vehicle suffering from problems out there ..

I have been doing research since I got my truck..And am still researching it. It has become another hobby.

I've actually been looking for a thread on guages here but have not had too much luck finding it.. I must be blind..as well as getting old:eek: .

Good to meet you.. all
Richard

the 2LT (E) is a nice engine but waht makes the thruck is the rest of the drivetrain. soft ride on the highway and unreal offroad. that truck is like a baby 81, no where near as powerful but the coils soak up the terrain, the gearing is perfect for around here and 33s skinny are a direct bolt on with no lift...
cheer and congrates.

Richard, make sure you add some pictures of your new truck, I'd love to see it.

Regards,

Hi Louis. Hope you had a good weekend.. & are feeling better..

As I find my way around here more I will eventually post a picture.
Was unable to find any Bio fuel around here (Newmarket Ontario).. I guess I got to go further afield.

I had the impression that it would be one of the most sold models

if he isn't into them that is up to him, there are those on the list that have never driven one and still dislike them. it is a personal choice.
the sales figures show:
LJ78 41,086 from 1990 - 1993
LJ71-12,447 from 1985-1993
HDJ81- 42,530 from 1990-1993
HZJ70-410 from 1990-1993
HZJ73-5301 from 1990-1993
HZJ75-47,538 from 1990-1993
HZJ77-3620 from 1990-1993
HZJ81-2300 from 1990-1993

so they were not the highest selling unit back then but a very close 3rd...
cheers

I am also not into skylines, hiaces, pajeros etc.

Has nothing to do with disliking them without driving them - just not into them. Like I said, I have had no inquiries on them so most likely won't buy any - although I never say never.

Regards

don't take offense to what i posted, like i said each to their own. my wife loves hers and drives one each day as a DD (even though the streets are now swept so she could drive her BMW).

i know others that don't like them.

each to their own...

Crossing the Darien Gap in LandCruisers... oh now that sounds like fun. Reminds me of the guy who went to live with the bears in Alaska and ended up recording his own death on tape.

"he died doing what he loved"
what a crock of crap, he is still dead.

now i could give the Darien Gap a try ... but no time soon.

Finally an interesting thread....Starts off with "Crushers" saying something nice about the 2L-TE and ends with him poking fun at some dumb *ss who is eaten by a bear. God I love this forum...

yep, can't help but be original ... "Crushers"

I believe that is what Ebenezar Schrooge told Tiny Tim in Charles Dicken's "Christmas Carol." however Schrooge was not involved with Land Cruisers. Take care....1978HJ45
