Ok, just had an idea....I have a 77 Camaro, with NOS hooked up but haven't used it in years for fear of blowing the hell out of the motor. So, since I already have a bottle can I pick up a regulator and use it for filling tires etc? Has anyone done this? Probably a dumb question but WTH......if so what regulator is suggested?

Do you mean CO2? If so I'm sure you could have the valve swapped out but I'd try just exchanging it at your local gas supplier for a CO2 bottle. Unless is a fancy pants bottle you want to keep. Exchange probably cheaper.

If its less than a 5lb bottle I would not too expect much life out if it. There is also the certification part to keep in mind.

More I think about it probably not worth the hassle of changing it over.

Yes, sorry CO2 guess I had NOS on the brain!! It's a 20lbs bottle so would last a long time for my usage. Would like to keep the bottle just in case I decide to blow the motor on the camaro someday!! lol

Depends on what type of regulator you have and the type of fitting on the bottle. I have a 20lb aluminum tank and like it alot. About 44lbs filled. About the same cost to fill a 10lb. Got it filled a couple weeks ago at carbonix for $23. Also had it hydro tested at a fire extinguisher place.

Keep that for yourself.
If you were closer I have a couple 20 lb tank sitting in my garage, thanks coke

Plan on mounting one in my rig. .... Someday

Your question is better asked at the welding or fire extinguisher shops because I think you'll find out that they won't will a bottle not specifically designed for CO2. A quick call should get you the info you need.
