Selling that SC would probably fund quite a bit of the LS swap. That said, in your shoes I'd probably do some basic stuff (leak down, bore scope, etc) to see how terminal the 1FZ issues might be. Good luck - it's a great rig!

When mine failed (Eons ago), the piston top was spotless, but the head was nowhere near that clean. I've seen others that looked like yours though.@Cornhusker and I were discussing it, and that was also his thought.
