Looks like you opted for no shroud on it. Did one not fit in the light housing or did you just not want one.

Thanks!
I can't remember if shields weren't advertised at time of purchase, or if it didn't fit.

I've got a DC that I'm not going to use if you need one... It's from the tilton (sp) guy I think. I've got a part time kit so I can swap back in the regular shaft.
Thanks @Jeff Elliott for the front DC DS. Perfect fit and no vibrations.

Glad to hear brother - hope it gives you many years of great service!

Little bit of a hiatus from the LC. Early December my mom and grandma came to visit. They accompanied me to my unit's military ball. During the ball I was awarded the "Knowlton Award" and my mom and grandma was allowed to present it to me.

Then i took my grandma with me to Okinawa, Japan to visit my wife and daughter. While there secured some land that my fater-in-law gave us to build a house on.

Very cool brother.

Congrats on the award.

Excited for your next chapter.
Thanks. I still have a little over a year before the official more.

Well. .the 80 becomes the daily again.

Hydroplaned on the freeway. No one injured. One car collision (mine). Just a little bit of a sore chest and back 🙏🏽.

Aussie Wings!!! Coolio.

Glad the wreck only wrecked the car. Did the insurance help you out on it?

Yeah I think back in 2010/2011 we did some Airborne Ops with the Commandos and exchanged jump wings. They loved our American accents. Called us "Yankees".

The car is going through insurance inspections now. I'm 100% sure it's totalled. It's an 07' so not expecting to get much from it. More than likely the money will just go into my other LC project.

Saw this on Facebook months back to "fix" a leaking sunroof:

Had this waiting in the garage for awhile, but two days ago was the final straw. We got some heavy rain and a tornado watch a few days ago. Got in the LC the next day and the drivers seat was soaked (as well as the floor).

I think @BILT4ME uses a large magnet to cover the sunroof. I was going to try that, but didnt buy a large enough magnet sheet.

so i just put on this adhesive rubber seal, and hopefully it holds. . .its suppose to rain tomorrow.

Yep. Magnetic sheet 24" x 52"

Magnetic Sheet

I rounded the corners, trimmed the length to 52", then I placed caulk on the GLASS ONLY to stick it to the roof.

It's been in place now since 2021 and it can withstand headwinds of 120 MPH (65 MPH plus 55 MPH headwind)

With your roof covered in Monstaliner, it is textured and there may be less magnetic adhesion. This product is literally signage material like magnetic business signs for the car doors. You round the corners so wind is less likely to grab it.

I'm seriously considering pulling out all my "mechanism" and then fixing the glass portion in place with epoxy or something to make a sort of "moonroof" that doesn't open. I like having the glass there, but I have zero interest in opening it, especially since I have an ARB roof rack over my head. My kids used to like to stand up in the center like a turret when we were stopped, but they seem to have outgrown that now.

Do y'all have working AC in your 80s and actually use it? I own several old cars with a sunroof and for me it's the best feature to have in the summer, even in the one that has AC.

My AC blows ice cold. I live in Texas, so I expend effort to keep it that way. Fan clutch, fan shroud, auxiliary fan, and Denso components all the way through.
