Looking ti buy a Toyota 4x4 pickup, any difference in cb size and comforts between the two models?

the 79 and 83 were small cabs, same with the standard cab 85 if you want more room extra cab or buy one of the new crew cabs.I am 6 ft and i drove and 83 and and 84 standard cab for years .They make me crazy now days , hell my extra cab seems small compared to driving the 80 .

I believe '85 has about 1 inch more legroom than the earlier models. Every little bit helps. They're small, for sure.

I've owned a 1982 SB, and a 1985 xcab. The xcab matters and makes a huge difference.

Thx all, on the hunt for a nice 85+ Extra cab now. Let me know if you know of any!

84+ not 85+

My ‘84 Xtra cab has more legroom than my ‘06 Land Cruiser. Seriously. I drive the 100 with the seat all the way back. I drive the ‘84 with an inch or more to go on the tracks. Still a narrow little cab - I can roll the passenger window down from the driver’s seat… while driving.

The 84-85 cab has a much better ventilation system and better radio mounting versatility than the 79-83 cab.

Thx, ended up getting a nice original 87 Xcab for my fat ass!
