Approached an older guy who had parked next to me about his cool '93 Xtra Cab that he was driving. He said he was going to put it up for sale shortly.
- His dad bought it new and it's been his main vehicle for a while.
- 22RE engine.
- Manual transmission had been rebuilt not long ago with newish clutch.
- Very clean, no rust, paint in really good condition and still had the original plastic bedliner which was faded to gray.
- Interior was nice. Carpet stained a lot and the 2nd set of seats he had installed were shredded.
- Had a lift with the prerunner front / plate. Seemed like it might be a 3" lift. I couldn't understand when he said the brand. Old bilstein shocks that needed replacement. Dual shock setup in front which seemed odd.
- Timing belt had been replaced not long ago.
- Engine bay clean and nice and he rambled off a lot of things he had fixed on it, OEM parts.
- AC converted from R12 to modern but didn't work as well as before. Struggled to cool when idle.
- Typical minor leak.
- No rust that I could see underneath.
At 356k, is it worth a buy or would I be looking for problems? Anything I should watch for?
