WTF do I buy if the 1st item on the list is:

M6x1.00 in 16 - Suggest buy 50.........so 6mm i(n a 10.9 grade steel was my choice), by 1.00 long, so what is the 16 for? Quantity?

bolt kit stocking stuffer!

6x16 is the actual bolt size, you don't mix metric diameter by sae length. 16mm is pretty darn close to an inch.

got it, so 1.00 is the actual quantity.....6mm X 16mm?

Is Bolt Depot an online deal? Do you have an MSC, Fastenal, etc. locally? They have a very good selection of fasteners right off the shelf in bulk quantity if you want to size them up.

Got everything ordered EXCEPT:

12mm X 1.25 X 25mm and 35mm Motor Mount Bolts are proving elusive to find......

Also what about M10 X 1.25 nuts?
What bolt is a M10 X 1.25 X ?? on the 40 series?
M10 X 1.75 I see but no 1.25?

If local, try Sears and Ace hardware stores. They have metric & stainless metric, in limited quantity & selection but you may find what you need.

You can also try getting them a the junkyard unless you are looking for stainless steal......sorry I'm cheap when it comes to buying bolts.

I found the 12mm X 1.25 X 25-35-40mm hex bolts, but in fine threading, if that matters. I went with 12mm X 1.25 X 25mm for mounting cast engine mounts to the 2F block and 12mm X 1.25 X 40mm for the motor to frame mounts.

Still don't know the M10 bolt use.....

Bolt Depot. I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but I found Bolt Depot to be substandard when it comes to hardware. I made a huge order from them when I started my project and was severly disappointed. The black coated bolts that were supposed to rust resistant showed rust after the first rain. The small 6mm bolts snapped at very low torque. I ended up giving the fasteners away. I will only use Fastenal and McMaster Carr.

Ryan.

If you don't have a tap and die set......I would godd idea to splurge on a set or at least get the ones you will need when replacing the old or missing hardware.....they will pay for themselves in the long run believe me I have been there.
