I am about finished with the front shock tower mounting and have bolts and DOM tubing to finish.
The shock towers are 2" taller then stock and the rear I know I can get a pair compatible with the lift.

I don't know what to get for the front and I have reached out to Bilstein but have not gotten a response

What is recommended.?

Isn't the front just 2" shorter than the rear, so would a rear shock for a 4" lift work? Also, when I removed the 4" rough country lift from my 40, the shock was almost the same length as the ones I had just replaced on my 2016 Silverado rear, if that opens some more options for you.

I used their 5125's which come in 11.5 travel and 12.5 travel with 2 different pressures. Which one you use depends on your shock mounts & bump stops & which shackles you run.

I found a better list of Bilsteins offerings on a vendors site vs. the Bilstein web page. IIRC it was Poly Perf site that had a good chart.

I did a 3" suspension lift in the front with a revers shackle that uses 2" square tubing and the rear has 4" suspension lift and is almost level.
The stock shock towers had to be removed for the FJ105 steering box and replaced with Ford F250/350 shock towers that are 2 inches taller.

I did not measure the static distance eye to eye on the front yet. I will have to extend the bump stops down so that the tie rod will not contact the pitman arm nut.

Right now I have stock length shackles and may use a longer one on the rear to level.

I put in the 5125 and saved the page and see that they are sold by length. Thanks for the tip.

You can skip the shocks for now , when your 40 will be drivable , flex it to the max , stop before the tire contact the fender or steering parts , then you can measure for ideal shocks and bump stop , try this with the wheels turn to the right and left
