Also wife suprised me with a nice @Cruiser Cult hat for the momentous day

Hell yeah man!!!

Fixed the coil misfire problem with the new coil harness. Continuity in that wire was rough.

Idles and runs way better.

Still struggling with the lean codes. I sprayed basically every part of the intake with carb cleaner, then soapy water. Neither made a dent in the idle, so i am guessing its not a vacuum leak.....

@cruisermatt ever get this code from a weak stock fuel pump? I havent put the V8 four runner one in yet. Its both banks so I dont think its exhaust leak, or injectors being clogged.

Idles good and runs good otherwise

That's frustrating. Have you hooked a fuel pressure gauge up yet? How were your injectors looking? Have you tried sea foam and an old fashioned Italian tune up?

I have a gauge on my regulator and it stays pegged around 58-60psi. I get this on idle too.

Injectors seemed fine, but I don’t know if a visual check is any good. Probably need a fixture.

After I get this new fuel pump installed I’ll give those ideas a look

Nice. I'll be following. Does that V8 4runner pump go right into the 62 pump bracket? I still have my (what I think is) 238k mile fuel pump in mine. Will be good to have it's replacement on hand for when it finally kicks the bucket.

This is Matt's fuel injector cleaner guy that I used. He was great. Super fast and responsive. derrmain@twc.com.

Here is my post about it from last year when I had mine done in case its helpful.

So the new pump relatively fits well, comes with a plug and I crimped the wires to splice. Hose was easy then threw on a stainless steel zip tie to hold it steady.

I don’t know if my shackle bolts face the wrong way but removing and installing the fuel tank sucks ass. I get why guys cut the cargo floor area, but I can’t bring myself to do that

I also snapped the ~6” soft line removing the tank. Ended up getting to Yearwood 30 min before they closed. $60 in AN6 fitting later and I replace the whole steel line with fuel AN. But she runs and drives, only took 8 hours.

Also added the Tanks in sender, had to drill out the mounting holes in it to slight over .250”. Mosley sent me this as part of the gauges package, but honestly it should be the 7” version. I think empty is going to have a few gallons still in it. They sent a 6”

I totally agree with what you said about dropping the fuel tank. That's why I did this...
