Yup, just to keep it in place. Earlier post shows measurements for the location off the shock crossmemberAfter looking a little closer I see the sleeve/tube the sway bar lives in. Did you weld that to the frame?
You have any pics of the tube welded in?
The kit did come with angle brackets to bolt it onto the frame also, which I’m sure I could have figured out. Another optionWell I need to chew on this. Not sure I want to weld on the frame now that it's done. Thnx for the info
I think you would have to drill on the thin side of the frame rail and install riv nuts. But I agree, it was simpler to use a hole saw and weld it inMy brain is struggling with how you would bolt those in. Maybe if I bent them straight then made 2 holes in the frame. Welding is just so much easier.
But they do come with the kit right?Yup 80 axle. And yes there is an aluminum spacer between the welded in tube and the bar itself, and a Delrin/teflon washer between the aluminum and the swingarm

Much appreciated! I’ve really enjoyed documenting and sharing my journey through this project@BurntToast I don't have anything to add to this thread except it has been a great read the last couple of years! You've gone after the details in some really elegant ways. Seeing 3D printing and services like SendCutSend being used to bring those solutions has been super cool.
I was chasing death wobble for the last 18 months or so, which ironically started after replacing suspension and virtually everything that usually causes death wobble. Toe-in check was perfect. Never really occurred to me that tire pressure could have an effect… turns out it does. I had been running my E rated 235/85/16s at 35psi for the road. Reducing the front to 27psi eliminated the problem for me.Recently driving around town, was accelerating and turning onto a rough road. Hit a bump with the front right wheel and got a nice little death wobble.
I don't read much about death wobble here, mostly in my old Jeep days. Anyone have issues? I wonder if I pulled to many leaves from the front spring packs that now they lack lateral stability.
What kind of mpgs did you get on your road trip?Been a long time since an update. Went on a road trip from ABQ to Tucson for Duct Tape Drags. Went with my good friend after both of us had “finished” our projects.

Cruise control s*** the bed ~ 1 hour into the drive, after a long uphill pull and a few downshifts, the rather expensive CRC2000 POS Dakota box would put the pedal into limp mode, and I would have to idle to the side of the highway, restart the truck and continue. Next time it happened pedal refused to do anything.
Ripped the inter-pedal harness from Dakota out, and kept moving. Not sure the issue, but almost left me stranded.

Made it to Tuscon, and promptly hit up the Titan Silo Museum, really cool place.

Fortunately, uneventful weekend with the trucks, and a nice drive home. Duct Tape Drags was interesting, but not my kind of car event.
14-15mpg on the highway, I get around 11 driving it to work in townWhat kind of mpgs did you get on your road trip?
