It's not difficult, just takes time and to think about what you're doing.
Now that i've done it once I bet i could do it again in under 8 hours
If it was in a clean engine bay with new fasteners everywhere and a rebuilt engine like mine was....
It's worth the wait, and shouldnt be hard to install if your engines in good order

Those are PAIR ports, huh? So there's hope for my '93? Dammit, this might cost me money if you get it working....

I finished up all the plumbing and electrical for the Intercooler system and the oil cooler, all are controlled by the switchpro, and are programmed to come on when the truck starts.
I have been putting off this next project for a while since I had no idea how I was going to make it work...but I tackled it yesterday/today with success.
I have a Comeup 12.5RS winch stuffed behind the Delta bumper, but there isn’t room to attach the control box, especially with the IC heat exchanger and PS cooler I have mounted up front. My engine bay is already at maximum capacity, so that’s a non starter.
I ended up pulling the passenger headlight and stuffed the box inside the bumper wing. Knocked up a simple aluminum bracket to bolt the control box in place and upside down. It is positioned so that I can plug in the cable from under the bumper easily.
I have been putting off this next project for a while since I had no idea how I was going to make it work...but I tackled it yesterday/today with success.

More electrical work....will it ever end?
After @Box Rocket offered to lend me some tapes for our upcoming trip I figured I better upgrade the stereo. The LX450 however adds some complexity with the factory amp, CD changer and “sub”...predominantly the amp. With some good old Mudsearch, I found a couple useful threads that detailed how to go about making a plug and play harness that bypasses the factory amp.
A bunch of time at the kitchen table making a mess and I produced this...hoping it works.
While I had the dash apart I figured it would be a good time to also install a new Ham radio, so that added a bit of time. I am pretty happy with how it’s all coming together....and all the wiring worked as planned. Phew!!!
The intercooler heat exchanger I ordered from griffin with a pusher fan, showed up with a puller fan...I didn’t notice until it was all wired up and I turned it on....ugh. Griffin wouldn’t be able to get the right fan from SPAL for about 3 weeks, so I went ahead and found the correct one on amazon and got it delivered today...progressing along.
I had a buddy come over this afternoon to help me mount my Eezi-Awn batwing on my Bowfin rack. This used to be on the Cummins 80, but that one will be under the knife for a while so figured it would get more use on the LX. With a full tank of fuel I can get in and out of the garage with 1/2” to spare.
After @Box Rocket offered to lend me some tapes for our upcoming trip I figured I better upgrade the stereo. I took Sunday off from turning wrenches to go for a long ride over the Wasatch mountains.
Also got a few more projects knocked off the list.
Wired up the 3 LP9 Pro’s. Amber running lights tapped into the parking light circuit. The high circuit is running through the switchpro.
Also wired up the pair of Amber Squadron Pro’s through the switchpro.
Today I mounted up both of my @Delta VS drop in stoves to the backside of the ladder Swingout. Can’t wait to test out this setup next week. I have plans to plumb propane quick connect fittings to both swingouts, but haven’t finished collecting all the parts for that just yet.

Got the Wits End OBA tank installed that I have had sitting in storage for about 4 years. Also added another air coupler inside the passenger side step of the Delta bumper. The York fills this tank up mighty quick!

Today’s project in between meetings was tailgate storage. I managed to only cut myself once which I will consider a win.

I found a little bit of real estate under the hood that wasn’t being used....fixed that problem. Custom windshield washer tank with a new OEM pump now resides in front of the main battery. The tank holds about 1 Gallon.
I’ve had this tail gate lid for a few months. Its very durable. My only mod to it was running some additional padding on the lip of the where the lid sits when closed to minimize chatter. Other than that its solid and the additional storage is great addition.

Spent all of last week traversing East to West across Utah with an offshoot down into Arizona (North Rim of the Grand Canyon) with @Box Rocket , @Delta VS and a few other folks that aren’t on mud.
Was a fantastic adventure covering a little over 700 Offroad miles. The LX handled great with only one issue to deal with when I hit a steep washout at about 50mph and used my soft axle to hub brake line as a bump stop. Coming into a 90 degree left turn without any brakes is exciting!
After evaluating options we realized there was a spare banjo bolt within the group. We filled up the banjo holes with solder, made a small band out of hose to cover 2 of the plugged holes and then tightened a hose clamp around it all. This enabled us to block off the front passenger brake line without damaging it, bleed the system and get 3 working brakes until the next day when I swapped on a new brake line that @Delta VS found for me.
