Wow, that looks great! Did you end up removing the old leather or wrap over it?

Sorry for your knee troubles. Hoping for your fast recovery.
Thanks, I am really happy with how it turned out. I wrapped right over the original leather, so now it's got a slightly thicker feel in the hand. I plan to do this to the wheel in my cummins 80 also.

This past week I have had far to much time spent sitting on the couch courtesy of having knee surgery 7 days ago. I figured I would get a little work done on the truck in between zoom meetings and feeling sorry for myself.

I pulled the steering wheel, which honestly was in great shape, but a bit too smooth and shiny for my liking. It took me an entire day, but I successfully recovered the wheel with new leather. I would recommend anyone doing this to pull the steering wheel off and work the on it somewhere comfortable. The wheel now feels great in the hand and looks pretty snazzy too.

You are an animal. Looks great man!

This one is going to sit for awhile as I still have the Cummins common rail conversion into the Dirty Koala build to finish which takes priority, but I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to snag a 1HD-FT. I just can’t leave good enough alone…plus I have always been a diesel guy and this is the last vehicle in the shed that is still running on petrol. The plan is to freshen this motor up…TBD on how deep the freshen up becomes and pair with a modified H152.

This means my 1FZ-FE will be up for sale at some point along with the turbo system and custom A2W intercooler I had built to handle the heat.
