So I just heard back from the first person to dry fit the kit. Turns out the bolt that was spec'd is about 5mm too long. As others get their kits in I'd like to hear from you as well. These happened to be the bolts I have been trying to source locally. If they do not fit for you as well then please let me know and I will either ship you shorter bolts or, if you get them local to you, I will reimburse you for the correct sized bolts.

Here is a pic of the bolt location in question and a pic with the York mounted to the bracket. Other then the two back bolts everything fit perfect so far. Haven't mounted the pulley yet.

How long until you ship the rest? I know you're waiting to get more bolts but I offered to source mine locally if needed so it could be shipped.

A few more already went out today. I'm out with vendors again right now working on the next product line and will be back later. Likely they will go out tonight/tomorrow.

I've already noted on your order not to wait on hardware but I've been making sure to ship those that ordered by date. First come first served kinda thang ;)

Sounds good. I was somewhat near the end if I recall. Thanks for the reply.

Does anyone know what vehicle application this mini york sc209 would have came from. It has a single groove pulley and is a bit smaller than the typical 209. They are hard to find though.

So I got the water pump pulley, tensioner pulley, and belt mounted today. I ran into a couple of issues.
First issue was the tensioner pulley not lining up with the York pulley. The York pulley looks to line up with the water pump pulley so I'm confident the issue is with the bracket. I spaced the pulley out using a .110 thick washer but now don't get full thread engagement with the tensioner pulley nut. I'm ok with that.
2nd issues was the belt making contact with the engine block. I was able to file the contact area for clearance. Still would like more.
I may cut the bracket to space the pulley to the correct location and to move it closer to the York. With it a little closer to the York there will be more clearance to the engine block.

Just because I had issues with my setup doesn't mean others will.

Would a smaller belt change the angle and give you more clearance? Or is it already a tight belt?

Looks like if you could move that pulley down an inch or more you'd get the clearance you need.

Good luck!

Thats an odd one. Our test York and test head did not see that offset. Using the spacer would have been my call as well. Please, if anyone else sees this issue let me know. If for no other reason than to confirm its the location of the tensioner. If the spacing is similar with other vehicles then I will source appropriate spacers for those that don't wish to tackle this on their own.

A shorter belt would help. The toyota belt that came with the kit was not tight at all.

This MAY have to do with two things:
1. Smaller pulley on the York
2. New belt in use

I have a Gates equivalent that could be used, or sized, from there but I wanted to be sure I only used a Toyota belt and I did NOT want to use a cogged belt. The grooves on the pulley are matched to the OEM belt. Once the belt is broken in it will need to be re-tightened. Given that the other three belts on the truck are between 75-100in pounds to get them in spec, the new York belt probably shouldn't be too far off from that. Because of the availability of larger size pulleys on the York compressors I wanted to make sure there was maximum movement for the tensioner pulley. A shorter belt should be considered AFTER break-in, in my opinion.

Well send me mine and I will!!! =)

I'm at my Wits' End!!!!!

The bolts I got in are M10 x 1.5, they are supposed to be M10 x 1.25!!!!!!

Here's the deal: I'm tired of holding some of these up due to hardware. I know some of you have access to a good selection of hardware locally. I am going to do a reorder and then ship out SEPARATELY the correct hardware. This will at least give you folks the opportunity to at least install the pulley and dry fit the bracket to the compressor. Sorry about this. I was trying to ship complete but I can't delay these any longer because of some stupid bolts.

Sounds good. I've got a bevy of hardware places around me.

Thanks!

P.s. Now get to work on the plumbing kits! I'm ready to order!

Got my kit today. Sans hardware of course, which I'm cool with. Can you at least let me/us know what hardware (size/length/pitch/quantity) to get?
