Brake booster issue/leak (1 Viewer)

So this started on Pearl Pass this summer, and I'm just noticing it more and more.

When the engine is cold and I start it and I'm idling, if I step on the brake pedal I hear and air leak from the area of the brake booster.

I cannot hear it while driving. Is this normal?

Did you check the hoses and valve attached to the booster?
Is it an aftermarket booster?

No, but that’s a good idea. Stock OEM booster

Replace the check valve 1st. Its cheap and easy. Nothing else about the booster is either of those.

check to see if the check valve in front of the booster is actually working by sucking and blowing through it.

Was a check valve on brake booster when my runner had that issue, would show itself when it was cold

I had the same issue you described. I replaced the booster and the hissing sound has stopped. Go the part from here.
