Kinda quiet out there. Anyone receive some long awaited boxes yet?

It happens when it happens. No point in applying pressure. Accept the pace or move on.
I can assure you that Joey is doing everything and anything possible to fulfill orders.

Thank you for that Dan. Some people just don’t care and some just don’t understand what is going on in the world. But there are many that know full well that it’s just a s*** show and we are all working within everyone else’s timelines and abilities.

I don’t post just to post here. I try to only detail news and activity as it happens, as soon as it happens so that everyone is on the same page.

If nothing happens, if no parts arrive, if no vender has shipped anything, well then I’m not gonna post and say, “nothing to see here folks”. In the background it’s never ending. I have a powdercoating shop I used for years just shut down. I have the local powder coater I JUST started using, now tell me he is now 6-8 weeks out, or more, because he lost his employees. I’m dumbfounded how things are right now.

I have a large local machine shop I’m using for some of my smaller pieces. Prices are about double what I am use to paying. But since they are “only” 4-5 weeks I’m using them. They do in house powder coating…for 4X what I typically pay because they know the market. It’s crazy.

I just got in an order of Turbos in and an order of Wastegates. Both arrived the same time. I was shocked. I ordered 20 turbos. Three arrived. I ordered 20 wastegates. Four arrived.

Tial had a 4-5 month backlog and told me my best chance of getting any of the latest batch was to go thru one of their upper tier wholesalers. The problem with doing that is they all laser etch their logo on the wastegates. Whereas when I was able to go direct it only had the Tial logo. I’m extremely bummed but I have no choice. So I got them with whatever I could and went with it. But I was limited to four. I’m working on getting more.

In slightly more positive news I had a customer @SoCal80 drop his truck off to me over a year ago. He had a bunch of stuff he wanted done, had no time expectation, and it was something that was ideal for further product development.

He was one of the original 10 that purchased end of 2018 and it sat in his garage shelf ever since. Well, until he brought it and the truck to me last year.

Well after a ton of interesting custom work including: hydraulic winch with custom controls, custom turbo install, @Delta VS console with custom gauge panel, meth/water injection, and tons of other bits…it was finally ready to go back home to SoCal. He came out earlier this week, hung out, then drove back grinning ear to ear.

Folks, it’s worth the wait and worth the annoyance you are all feeling trying to get your hands on your order. I will never give up making sure that those that have entrusted me with your hard earned money will also get that grin from ear to ear.

Thanks for the update. I'm well aware of the chaos in sourcing hardware at the moment. That is a big part of what I do at work. We are scrambling to build several industrial machine vision systems and are facing schedule delays from multiple vendors. Heck one of our vendors just informed us that they will no longer produce a sensor that is critical to the function of our top selling product. Replacing that sensor is going to be a very painful process as a huge chunk of custom software was created around it.

Its always great to see some new pictures of installed turbos :)

Hey man, do what you can, when you can. That's all a reasonable person can expect.

As another one of the original batch, which had the parts on a shelf for longer than I ever thought I would; now that it’s installed, I can tell you it’s worth the wait! The turbo just performs. Couldn’t be happier! I’ll post pics once I get my engine bay looking like someone loves this rig, it’s a bit dirty at the moment.

Any possibility of putting together a kit for that or parts list?
Cálmate, if you read back you'll see he is working on prototyping a Meth Injection kit, but that doesn't mean he will produce one for consumers. Im sure he will post up progress when he has it, just have to be patient!

I Figured it was in the 290 pages of thread but I'll be honest I was just being lazy and thought I'd just ask

About the only thing this pandemic was good for, gave me time to actually sit down and read through the entire thread and helped me make the decision to buy one for myself. Well worth the read to follow the journey of getting boost into our trucks in a reliable manner. Can't wait to get mine in the mail. From everyone that has installed one, it will be worth the wait.
