I’d like to see the shop. I like Jonathon’s attention to detail.Sure for $200k. Their shop is less than 5 miles from my house.

I saw @torfab was doing an LSA conversion on an 80 too. Probably more my speed.
Lol! I can’t see myself paying that kind of money. It’s just pretty cool.Yeah pretty sure an LSA swap is nothing like what we are talking about here.
The LSA EROD setup, without any labor, custom mounts, wiring, etc is $19,590.58. Comparing a minimum $35,000-$40,000 engine swap to a weekend $4,000-5,000 turbo setup seems like an odd thing to do.
maybe landcruiserphil will design a new fan bracket for the intercooler? phil, you listening?
The air to air intercooler on my Safari turbo charged 80 series work great in sunny Arizona with no additional fandont see any need to reinvent the wheel
Why settle for good enough when you can go overboard?![]()
I’ll leave this here. I’m sure there will be comments...
At this boost level I wasn’t going to change anything except maybe a shift kit or valve body. I don’t drive my 80’s like I drive my SC’d Tacoma...(Sorry if this derails a bit)
I saw his earlier reveal of Rogan's 80 he's building. Got me curious to see what front axle they'll be going with. In that clip it looks like factory, so posted and asked if they're going part time or maybe beefier custom.
What will people intend to do with front axles if going with bolt on turbo? Leave it and stay at low boost? Crank that s*** up with proper tuning? If I remember a quick convo on Joey's IG, he mentioned Borg Warner SX 8376. Pretty capable of lots of hp if your location doesn't restrict tuning options. Seems like most of the boosted 1fz guys in Oz are running part time kit, which for me, leaves a lot to be desired. Enlighten me with options! Diamond? Custom D60 from Dynatrac or Currie perhaps?

I am running stock front axle with an RCV setup. I have been boosted for 4ish years without issues.
