hey guys,

I want to replace the window rubbers on the 73 I've looked and toyota can't supply the rubbers and seals any more. Anyone else been able to source some? Mine have shrunk so want to replace them. Any help of parts here in Australia appreciated

I have new window guides sitting on the office desk at home with original Toyota Numbers. But not home for
3 more weeks.
Here is a link to an online agent from Japan I've used before. Been good to me as far as shipping to Canada.
I set up the right initial page for you.
Spare parts for Toyota LAND CRUISER/LAND CRUISER PRADO BJ73 | Buy high quality spare parts for Automobile at reasonable prices in MegaZip online shop.
It will help you find the part numbers, and it lists all the other little parts and numbers required to finish the
installation as well.

Have you looked around for any aftermarket rubber etc? Is it possible to cut down bits from a troopy or Hiace van Coaster bus. They all use the same components , just in different lengths.
Is it for the doors or the rear windows. The doors are easy to get ,just ask for HJ75

Lucky you guys have dealers there with some of these parts. The glides I got are $91 USD ea
and with shipping that makes it a tad over the $230 mark. Sure wish we could buy it by the meter
here.

Its the window RUN you are looking for?

Hello,

Do not forget 9 mm wide butyl tape, Toyota p/n 08850-00065, to attach the glass to the FRP.

Hope this helps.

I got these from Yan about a year and a half ago. I haven't found the time to pull the windows and get the frames bead blasted and powder coated.

Have you tried rare spares and landvehicle spares in Silverwater NSW? Those bits and pieces are not unique to MWB landcruisers

Rang landvehicle spares today but they were going to ring me back.

Cruiserdan - Are you going to create a thread when you finally do this? Sure would be handy.
Do you have the butyl tape that Juan mentioned requiring?

She's Mad (Roger) and I had a conversation related to this when he was putting his 74 back together. He said it is quite straight forward and my body shop friend of 35 years has the materials. When he has a window (so to speak ) and I can leave the truck inside while the frames get coated we'll document it.

I don't want to attempt to cut the frames out myself or I'd put the truck in my father-in-law's garage. The body shop is 45 miles from my current location and I don't want to drive back and forth in the upcoming cold weather.

In view of the corrosion issues I have seen with the frames I do not want to do anything less than a blast and coat. I want this to be a one-time job.

I understand that. My truck is write-off rebuild, so it's not all together yet. The window is low on the
priority list. I have the glide runs from the PO, so at least I'm spared that cost.
Thx, J

Do you have the center division sashes as well (pictured in post #12). If not I would try to get them if possible. It really finishes off the job nicely. You know, clean shorts when you get out of the shower.....
