Hello!
While I wait to get my cylinder head back from the machine shop, I'm making a list and executing the myriad small projects that have been on the back burner in favor of larger, more critical ones.
The sliding side windows in my Fivres FRP top are rattling a bit because the felt (felt?) that lined the track has rotted away and washed out of the drains along the track in chunks. Unsurprisingly, I don't see a replacement part. I do want to continue to be able to open the rear windows so gluing them shut with a bead of something isn't my preferred route. Is there anything out there I can slide in between the glass and the now-exposed aluminum track that will refresh this zone?
Related – I've developed a somewhat irrational fear of the clip that keeps the window shut breaking since it's now 30 year old plastic. Is there a replacement for that for when one of my kids inevitability slams the window shut and breaks one of those suckers off?
Thanks!
