This is a 653 olive 1978-1984 (olive brown).
Original brochure
If you try to buy the standard paint from the producer it will be too green (Original is on the right side)
I spent one month in scanning of originally painted body parts and painting the samples. The color is dependable from the light.
For example 3 early samples inside and outside my house.
Finally I made my „master“ sample that satisfied me and all people involved (from my family to the restoration team).
If you find the German paint producer Sikkens, than you can exactly reproduce the color based on this picture
I believe Sikkens is still a Dutch company.

AkzoNobel is the owner of the Brand Sikkens. AkzoNobel was founded in Sweden. Sikkens started its activity in Netherlands. Let’s call it European company

Finally I found the NOS front “wide” drums.
Many fans upgrade the brakes to the newer disk version, BUT correct restoration requires the drums in Europe for 1979 version.
Happy to find this rarity

this special position of the top clamps is important because they can make one hole (with the screw in high position) inside the insulation of the front hood ( no enought free space)

If someone would like to make the custom non lifted leaf springs „08.1980+ Mid wheelbase version“ (BJ43, BJ44, BJ46, FJ43) - here is the Genuine OEM leaf springs dimensions.
Front leaf spring - 6 leaves/6mm each
Rear leaf spring - 5 leaves/7mm each + 1 leaf/13mm
Front leaf spring - 6 leaves/6mm each

It looks like the new old leaf springs will be installed only in September. I have to move it from one country to the other one...

Still fight with the 7.50 R16 tires for 16 split rims.
I found only two options that are original and available new: Firestone Jeep Service (South Africa) or Bridgestone Mighty Rib (Japan)
I have already the vintage set 7.00 R16 with nonsplit rims (possible with the hub caps). Such tires were used until 1977 in Europe
But from 1978 up to 1984 it was 7.50 R16 on the split rims
So hardly can make a decision. Jeep Service or Mighty Rib. I think Firestone looks cool and close to off road nature, but may will be noisy (braking might be an issue also). Out of two sets I believe 7.50 R16 I will use more often - so Bridgestone might be more practical... stuck a bit
