Thank-you again. I checked back in the parts books and see that there are many different part numbers for the "C" Ambo doors that went to Europe beginning back in the 60s and perhaps even further back. I guess there must have been some safety-related regulations by different countries that required either the relocation of the spare tire carrier, the license plate mount, or the rear door first-to-open. Just wondering what that reasoning might have been. Perhaps overall weight distribution when without a hardtop/roof. Are you aware of any import regulations about locations for mounts? Thank-you.

Rear doors (New old stock) I bought in Japan (yahoo actions via jauce.com)
All other parts (front doors, front panel, hood, fenders) arrived from EBay sellers.
It takes 6-9 months to get it but now I can travel in the mountains ...
