Hello guys and gal,

I'm wondering what everyone is using for Molybdenum Disulfide Lithium Based Grease (Moly #2) for their knuckles and Birfields? I've noticed there is a lot of grease out there with different amounts of moly and some have added graphite. I've also noticed they have different drop points and temperature ranges. I feel this grease is very important to the longevity of my rebuild so I would like to see what others are using. Thanks in advance.

I used Valvoline Palladium because it was more easily available. I bought it at O'Reilly's and I saw at one point WalMart even carried it.

Any grease beats none, moly is better, having it at the correct level is best.

I second Valvoine Palladium. It’s readily available and the price is reasonable.

Used the Valvoline palladium for bird and trunion bearings and the cerulean(?) For the hubs and wheel bearings. Ended up using a full tube for both hubs and wheel bearings and 2 tubes ish for each birf. Hopefully there's enough in there .

I used the Palladium for the Birfs only. The trunnions and wheel bearings I used Lucas Red-N-Tacky #2.

ABout 2 tubes per side for empty Birfs, and 1-1/2 tubes per side of Lucas RNT #2.

Mud OCD will take you down a rabbit hole on this Q alone. Or just go Valvoline Palladium and be happy and done with it.

WallyWorld also carries moly tubes of grease I’m their SuperTech line that is just fine for about $3.75 each.

Mobilgrease XHP 322 Mine. It has the highest moly content I could find, at 5%

I wish I would've. I over thought it and bought redline cv-2 at 13$ a tube... Turns out it only has .9% moly ::beats head::: I bought rcvs so I have a reason to change the grease.
